Advice wanted please. I'm thinking of making an offer on the pair of di faced tenners on eBay.com. They are on for 750 dollars buy it now. The last pair sold for £295, he's a uk seller, apparently he has quite a few for sale. His eBay name is ChipleIder . Has anyone had any dealings with him, he seems quite genuine , any thoughts.

I would say close to 90% listed on ebay are fakes. There are only a few ways to know for sure if you havent bought a dink:

1. Got given one by PC or Laz
2. Bought one from SG and got the receipt to prove it
3. Bought it from a trusted source, like an old forum member - for example Photobank had one for sale a month or so ago on ebay - totally trustworthy, so you know you are buying the real deal.

These tenners were not made as widely available as people make out on ebay.

Got a couple bought back in 2009, pretty sure they are fakes, Diana is a nice shade of pale blue and they don't feel like a note. Saying that, I've never seen a real one so what do I know.

I am new to this board, but it looks like a copy of vivalarepublique´s picture og his tenner is on sale on ebay.
It is amazing how well the signature matches, but the edges seem to be cut a little smaller.
I also asked the seller to tell me where she got it from... its from a friend she tells me.

I am asking for fakes, but you can still give a great story about how your uncle or sister or father picked them up back in the day from Banksy himself.

I have no idea why people pay such high prices on ebay when I am sure they are mostly fakes.

The real ones are on thick paper almost a thin card. If you do a search for di faced tenners you will find a thread with all the information you require.

Do not buy these, I bought the four that he listed on ebay a couple of weeks ago as being real. He listed them at about midnight, and they had only been on a few minutes, so I bought them,.They are very very poor quality photocopies.

How the hell can you tell the fakes from the real thing. I've got 2, paid just under £200 for the pair in 2009, they are on the 'almost card' paper but Diana is blueish. They are just sitting in my draw because I dont know what to do with them.

If you have a Banksy COA compare the half note on it to your copies. Most of the fakes are much fainter and therefore very easy to spot. Unless you got them yourself there is no real way of knowing whether they are genuine or 1st / good copies

Funnily followed the other thread here.

Im after no fakes but two originals as I really like to give them framed as a present to my brother who also is a big Banksy fan.

I did now three trials over the last months and it is a nightmare. I bought them from ebay and they are ALL fakes and part of them really bad printed on top.

Can I find here any source who could deliver two real ones?

Hi I signed up to this forum just now... I've been a fan of banksy for years, i've seen a lot of his work in real life. Just this summer ive been to Israel to see the walls he's done... amazing!

I want to buy a Di-Faced Tenner £10 note, to frame and put in my office. But!!!! I don't trust these ebay sellers for a cent.

I see several for $500 - $600 dollars and several for $50 and less.

Logically the expensive ones are real.. then on the other hand, it could be fakes as well that just try to make good money of it..

Does anyone know how to spot a real one? Or does anyone know a legit seller or has one for sale?

Welcome to the forum. I'd suggest you do a search as this is a topic that has been discussed a thousand times. Long and short is whether they sell for £10 or £500 work on the basis they are fake as there is no real way of telling
