Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by italianstallion on May 30, 2014 7:38:53 GMT 1, I am very disappointed by this release Borondo print.
I who am in Italy and I can not stay up all night pressing f5 I have not had the opportunity to participate in the hunt.
A release is not exactly democratic.
I think for now Borondo erase from my wishlist.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Lroy on May 30, 2014 8:11:29 GMT 1, You can't buy on Street art news when they sort prints with a lot of followers. Always tried, always failed. I tired with Rone, Dal East, etc... No F5, nothing only bugs. I guess some have powerfull computer.. What is strange , it that on ebay, the day after, you have always the same names... Some are galleries also....

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by dazarino on May 30, 2014 8:21:58 GMT 1, It's a shame when a thread on a print release get to 5 pages and most of the content is about how bad the drop was handled. My advice don't bother with San anymore, just ask yourself how much is your time worth to you? I'm sure all the artists will release with someone else at some point
I'm sure san are good people but not worth the hassle for me

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Nick on May 30, 2014 9:18:27 GMT 1, It's odd that they've tottally ballsed this up, when not even 4 months ago they had the same recipe with the alexis diaz release. 20 went to the show, which sold out to those queuing, and 20 where dropped online at a set time, and everything went to plan. Why they could'nt have stated an exact time is beyond me.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by BKBOI on May 30, 2014 10:00:13 GMT 1, A gallery can do whatever they want with the prints that they are selling. You decide as a consumer if you would like to continue supporting them or not. In the end, they are all just pretty paper. You win some, you lose some. They did say that Borondo has a huge show coming up so there will be more works available from him. tweety, my advice is to be constantly searching for this print a few months down the road. Look at the Diaz release where the people have decided to sell their prints after the hype died down. you might get a better deal. Just too much emotions going on during the first 24-48 hours after a print release. Those emotions are what drives up prices on ebay.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by eschiff on May 30, 2014 10:02:43 GMT 1, shame that people feel hard done by SAN, was a great night but understand if you're not london based you were counting on the online release.
As mentioned, big show coming up (his studio had so much great work on display, huge canvasses, small works on glass the whole bit) so may be a chance to get some work then.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by sierrahotel on May 30, 2014 10:17:32 GMT 1, Is there any pics from the show floating around?? there are a few if you search for borondo on instagram - but there was a polite notice asking for no photography - the artist didn't regard these pieces as finished works generally, just studies/ works in progress. They were amazing as they were though! Nothing was for sale - but like eschiff suggests, many of them or more finished versions will likely be included in the show.

I doubt, as previously suggested in this thread if the final 20 did go to public internet buyers & indeed went to other galleries/big players on eBay etc
Highly coincidental how the same names seem to have the latest 'hot print' available...
What faith does it give to us? SAN will never restore my faith now. I have never dealt with them before, nor will I again. I'll shout from the rooftops too what an embarrassing, unfair outfit they appear, if ever anyone wants to know!
But thank you SAN for building up a lot of people's hopes with your vagueness - I'm sure your business model will bring you much success...

I like the new print and would have quite liked one but be careful this isn't becoming over hyped....

And I feel the same way about graffiti prints and the 99.9% thing, thought it was completely misleading and won't buy or enter a silly giveaway again. But that was purposefully negligent, this just seems to be lazy.
Edit - what prints on ebay? I don't see any. And I took some pics of the studies at the show but they did ask not to share...it wasn't really a show so much as a studio visit.

If you like the guys work don't buy into the hype ..... And don't venture down the same road as everyone else.. It's neither cool nor one which will bring you a print.
As for being cool , well that was a tongue in cheeckism.
Now where is that plane.. At exactly ?

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Liverpool ste123 on May 30, 2014 11:06:56 GMT 1, Eschiff, I meant the people/galleries on eBay that sell new releases for a rather inflated mark-up... Not naming any but if you search some of the 'hot prints' that we all like, you'll find them quickly enough. Give it a few days & I'm sure we'll all see a Borondo up for a healthy profit margin
Sadly, I think I'll be one of those contemplating buying with the mark-up, just to secure a print I had little chance of getting upon release. Thanks to a combination of high internet traffic, carting problems, underhanded-tactics (maybe!) of having prints already designated to certain places etc...
Does make you wonder where all the fairness has gone in this collecting malarkey & question is it 'the game' to be in? After all, could just go to IKEA & buy aesthetically pleasing prints for little cost but without the stress of all this!haha

Really the only reason i'm not bitter about missing out (which normally happens) is because the event was so refreshing. Excited young artist, studio, free beer (not bloody wine) and a good vibe.

Gonzalo Borondo πͺπ¦ Spanish Glass Artist β’ Street Art, by Red Barron on May 30, 2014 12:33:20 GMT 1, I know I am in the minority but I would prefer missing a print drop and hear about forum members getting to hang out with a super cool, talented artist in his studio than having forty prints go to the guys with the fastest internet connections. I am just as disappointed as everyone else but it's just a material possession and collecting prints isn't why I got into street art in the first place. To be able to interact with the actual artist and share in the experience along the way is way cooler IMO.
