Miss Bugs Until September Print, by WOOF on Oct 24, 2014 14:34:48 GMT 1, Boom! I prefer the Pink but don't stand a cat in hell's chance of securing one - so will go for the Blue. I'm not usually digging Missbugs but this one looks great and will suit the young one. Not happy with the concept that people would buy one to place in a flat file to spite a 12 year old girl but there you go..... Good thing I clearly said I wasn't going to do that. I don't have to like you to not hate your offspring.

Miss Bugs Until September Print, by bone on Oct 24, 2014 14:55:02 GMT 1, I really wish they would have doubled the edition sizes. I have a feeling that this is going to be a tough one to get, which usually isn't the case for fans of their work.

I think that artists who choose to make small editions are much wiser than those that capitalize on larger runs. In the end it will protect their value and demand. Very few artists can maintain interest or value with larger runs.

My comment only reflected my personal desire to own the print, they should obviously do whatever they feel like.

Bone, sadly this forum has become all about longterm/shortterm print 'value.' can't even talk about a print release nowadays without broaching the investment side so many ebers have come to love speculating about any chance they get.

Miss Bugs Until September Print, by thriftypix on Oct 24, 2014 16:46:29 GMT 1, Love the look of "Until September."
I've gazed longingly at many of Miss Bugs' releases over the past few years. But for all sorts of reasons - most of them related to cold hard cash - I've never been able to make a purchase. For those of you who have been lucky (and wealthy) enough to buy a print or three, I'd love to get the low-down on their work:
Bang on registration? Hand- or machine-pulled? Thick or thin layup of inks? What kind of paper(s) do they use? How is their packing and shipping? Bomb-proof, disaster in the making, somewhere in-between?
Thanks in advance for any info you folks can provide.

I was actually referring to the longevity of the artist and not my financial loss or gain in this instance. I've been collecting Miss Bugs for years. I love their work and it brings lots of joy into my life.
I think everyone is interested in value in one way or another. There is nothing wrong with it. I don't think many of us have that much disposable income that we can simply throw caution into the wind.
That said, Bone, I totally hear you. I want one too.

Hey there! There are a few of us who have many MB pieces. I have over 20.
As for registration, at times it's 'bang on,' like Missing Andy. At times it is like Warhol and a little off. Trust me, it is intentional. (The black ink they use is made for painting the outside of airplanes.) most of the time they HAND pull 2 layers. One mat, one with minor shine.) Thick layers of hand sprayed colors, which is enhanced by the hand pulled screen overlays. Creates excellent texture. The paper they use is thick and sturdy. (Has to be to support all of the hand sprayed layers . Miss knows how to pack a tube. Have never had any issues with damaged prints. (Even if one was damaged, Miss would take care of it quickly!) There customer service is top notch!
Hope this helps.

Miss Bugs Until September Print, by Deleted on Oct 24, 2014 18:03:21 GMT 1, Otto is a bit of an authority on this specific subject, good to see some insightful posts.
It's certainly one for the wall, my wall. I do think there's a little wiggle room over and above the release size whilst protecting the brand.....time will tell.

I have a feeling that this is going to be a tough one to get, which usually isn't the case for fans of their work. ^^^This^^^ I really like this piece, but with my internet connection, fat chance. Good news is that Miss Bugs prices their prints appropriately so not a lot of meat left on the bones for the aftermarket. An edition of 75 would be better though.
