Dran @ Palais de tokyo - Paris, by trax51 on Oct 5, 2014 15:38:40 GMT 1, It went for less than 2k?! Yes and starting price was 450โฌ ! it went for less than 2k because it was visible only on eBay France, so all potential buyers sitting in UK / US had no chance to even see the listing. And the auction was closing at 2:30am, so as for Microfluo, I got outbiden in the last 5s and couldn't re-raise my bid. Yes someone got a bargain.
But it was a poorly set up auction... they wanted to raise money for a friend, they could have raised MUCH more with a bit of thinking....

Dran @ Palais de tokyo - Paris, by sgolby on Oct 5, 2014 16:12:24 GMT 1, Sometimes happen to you to go to the park and see a little dog poop on the grass; is this. but dran show you an humanized happy poo sprawled in the grass.... there's nothing to explain and there is nothing vulgar .... this makes smile children and adults. I would love to have it on my wall. Dran manages to capture the simple little things of everyday life and make these funny... Aggreed, I personally find this piece to be genius. Yes Literally it is a "Turd in the grass," yet somehow the Lush green of the grass makes one feel as thought the turd is happy to be in nature rather then having been deposited on the ugly grey concrete. It is not a simple turd, but a turd as Petrusino Says, makes kids and adults smile. In fact I have a feeling it made everyone of you guys smile when you first saw it. Glad Dran is back. Have admired his work for a long while.

Personally I think Modern Toss are a lot funnier, I'd rate Mr Bingo above Dran too, both artistically and a humour level. Must be my preference for British slap stick vs childish drawings.

Is not just a matter of being funny. Dran is an artist at 360 degrees. he is truly an artist and is excellent on any type of surface. is a monstrous writers; he has street attitude; he is an excellent street artist; he is an excellent urban artist; is an illustrator whose talent is monstrous. he makes fantastic books. he has a deep sensitivity, we can understand this from his works. he also produces sculptures; his style is recognizable by anyone and is super original. I would challenge another artist to redrawing its illustration and make it more expressive of how he does. it is impossible! he can draw with the naturalness of a child..but knows how to make reflect adults. he knows how to face with lightly theme as the "little poop", or raw themes such as violence against women. do not say bullshit. Dran is a superb 360ยฐ ARTIST

You will be saying Stik is good at drawing next. Modern Toss are very funny but Dran has a great talent and sometimes a very dark sense of humour which I really like.
