Conor Harrington - Eat and Delete - headcount??, by sky8888 on Sept 28, 2014 15:39:14 GMT 1, Easy to say when one has no choice. I hear what your saying. I just forget about it and move on to another release I like (otherwise I will be buying lots of overpriced works from flippers). Looking forward to Xmas releases hopefully another by Connor or a nice Bast etc.
Respect this attitude. There's always more good art to come

Conor Harrington - Eat and Delete - headcount??, by WOOF on Sept 28, 2014 15:54:18 GMT 1, I didn't see any booklet. There were one-sheets with a price list and press release. If they had booklets, I have no idea where they had them The booklets were given out yesterday(at least for the first batch of people who showed up when they opened). Im sending mine to a forum member in the UK. They werent sure if they were going to be selling anymore prints so we thought they were giving them out to us as 'consolation prizes' Went from being a consolation to a bonus. I much prefer bonuses haha

Conor Harrington - Eat and Delete - headcount??, by Deleted on Sept 28, 2014 20:52:45 GMT 1, Yeah, didn't see any booklets either; was gonna try to grab some showcards and get them signed but CH seemed in 'I just became a millionaire' mode and was shmoozing with pretty cool people, so didn't wanna waddle up and ask him to sign a stack of showcards.
Also the showcard was just a postcard of 'the Unveiling' which I didn't think would appeal to many. Could've been wrong, was a crazy night.

Also it's strangely soothing to watch the CH film with the dubstep playing in the background.

But I am sure others do prefer the 1st with its hidden meanings

I will say, though, the 'Unveiling' scene during the CH film (showing at the NYC show) is ace.

Conor Harrington - Eat and Delete - headcount??, by vei on Sept 28, 2014 23:12:05 GMT 1, Must admit the first one is better, in that it has the story and lots of different elements to look at. A proper conversation piece. Whereas the second one is/can be seen as just a picture of two blokes having a punch up.
It has to be said though I would be happy to have either on my wall as they're both great pieces, from a talented artist.

I'm sure this print is other's 14th favorite, but whatever.

How was the film? The vignettes on IG had me a little on edge as to whether it would be good or not.

How was the film? The vignettes on IG had me a little on edge as to whether it would be good or not. Very visceral. Would be a lot of fun if you happened to own a print related to the scene.
**SPOILERS**
Essentially it is the two men sitting down for a decadent feast; they cheer and unveil the woman on the table. Then there is hard-to-tell debauchery (filmed erratically, briefly) and cuts to the feast table in shambles; the bald man on the right with his head covered in a golden silk bag tied at the neck, and the man at the left disheveled. The two begin to fight (picture the B&W pieces), strangling each other fiercely on the ground, until they both seem to suffocate each other and lie next to one another lifeless. Meanwhile, the woman wanders through the smoke afterward.

Cool
I do think that if I was to own the New York print, it may suddenly become my favourite of the two. I find that's how opinions often work.
For example I think Conor's best work to date is fight club, but then I own it.

Only 5 or so on the bay so far, 10 collections on EB, and hopefully the charity held ~20 back to sell at a markup for a good cause.
