Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by fingerz on Sept 19, 2014 13:00:23 GMT 1, Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series culminates with this definitive print, 100 Sources of Pop Art. In our opinion, this is THE quintessential Blake print, parading images of the cultural figures and symbols that have inspired the artist and informed much of his work. Here, Blake pays homage to Warhol, Da Vinci and Roy Lichtenstein, while The Beatles, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe sit alongside Hollywood stars. If you've been thinking about picking up something by Sir Peter Blake, this could well turn out to be the classic you're after.
Please note, I have been advised that this print will sell out on publication and we expect to be allocated a maximum of only two prints. If you would like to reserve an edition, please let me know as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Full details are:
Sir Peter Blake – 100 Sources of Pop Art

Edition Size: 175
Image Size: 1145 x 1145mm

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by tartarus on Sept 19, 2014 13:32:27 GMT 1, I spoke to the publishers yesterday. I'd be prepared for a second release of the same image if your buying.
Bloody cheeky if you ask me, but they said they "are considering it"

I wonder how many they have sold. It's all cloak and dagger. For all we know they have sold 20 at the opening price and suddenly it's 5k

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by iamzero on Oct 1, 2014 20:58:28 GMT 1, I have a real distrust for CCA, I just don't like how they do business and I've spoken to a couple of galleries who have a real hatred for them. Oh and don't buy a print they've framed... Very poor.

I know it's like other criteria. Same story. Fake price rises ripping people off. Maybe raise it once half way through but all this POA stuff is just bollocks

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by Finsbury on Oct 1, 2014 21:45:33 GMT 1, I agree, shady tactics. It probably won't be long until galleries like this start selling by sealed bids, mind you isn't that what P.O.A is anyway?!
I can't afford as many Blakes as I'd like but the few I do own, I try and buy at the first price point to avoid any disappointment.

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by Winter on Oct 1, 2014 22:02:38 GMT 1, Pretty sure this will end up over £10k so not surprised if it has a tiered price. I get the impression they haven't thought the pricing through before release and they're trying to work out what to do next

10k Maybe one day but there are 175 of them. The Eiffel Tower screen print goes for a lot less and that's years later

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by iamzero on Oct 1, 2014 22:18:06 GMT 1, I had one of my Blakes on Own Art and they put the price up £1k from me signing the paperwork and me receiving the print so I got lucky. They increase the price once a percentage are sold and continue to do so until sold out. I've heard stories from galleries where they've sent out a print as the potential customer wanted to see the item and CCA have doubled the price on route. Still a Blake fan though but am increasing annoyed at how high his prints are priced as it puts they way out of my league now as CCA appear to be pulling in the big money crowd.

I think it will end up more like £20k, going on the last 'sources' current prices. Personally I reckon they didn't expect the first batch to sell so quickly at 4k. Time will tell..

I've seen this happen in a gallery. A guy was given a verbal price over the phone, only to arrive and find out it had gone up. He was absolutely seething.

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by Finsbury on Oct 2, 2014 8:16:44 GMT 1, At 82 years of age it's quite incredible that he continues producing work. He may not have as much involvement these days but nevertheless he's still working.

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by .dappy on Oct 2, 2014 11:35:29 GMT 1, ... it is over 4ft square, so you would need a big wall/house to display and also do justice to it.
Pretty difficult size to buy and store properly for 'investment' purposes.
... still nice though ...

Sir Peter Blake’s iconic Sources of Pop Art series, by retrome on Oct 20, 2014 15:01:54 GMT 1, Saw this at Multiplied on Saturday and was told it was about £5,500. It is amazing in person but think I prefer some of the other Sources... especially... Sources of Pop Art 7. This will be over £10k soon though.
