Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by mmmike on Aug 29, 2014 21:34:05 GMT 1, I'm not really buying prints these days. I might make an exception for this one though since i'm quite fond of the spots but not a fan of Hirst and his work in general. Sorry, how can you say that zacharevic is not original when drippy spots has been done to death. milking it much. Utter hypocrisy imo. please get out to see some new art. Like I said I like the spots and not Hirst so there was some appeal here. There is lots of new art that I like. Just don't feel the need to buy every flavour of the month. As well I think in general artist tend to get better as they grow, to me it makes sense that in general established artists will produce better work than when they are starting out.
Not much is truly original. I think Borf has done some interesting things playing on older influences for example. I don't own any of his stuff but I see him as someone with something to offer.
I see this zack guy as copying dran (who I don't find that interesting in the first place) and other recent proven successes. To me there is a difference between paying tribute to an aspect of art history or doing a critique of current or historic art vs just reusing the same ideas of current artist because they sell. Same goes for the boring stencil stuff coming out of Norway (you pick the artist they are pretty interchangeable to me).

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by Fะฏ on Aug 29, 2014 21:42:21 GMT 1, Then why feel the need to post on that thread if you say you did not like the stuff in the first place?
Theres plenty of work on here which is utter crap that i could tear the arse out of in a second but i leave it alone as it really does not add to anything. You say its good as it creates a debate with different tastes, but really the aim is to piss on someone elses bonfire.
Not having a go at you by the way, it is your taste but this site is worse than the fucking daily mail comments section sometimes. Full of musty curtain twitchers moaning about how things are not the same anymore.
Maybe it is because he is from Lithuania and your worried he might take your job or something. Anyway, whatever.

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by eschiff on Aug 29, 2014 23:47:00 GMT 1, really? you're going to deprive yourself of something you'd enjoy over the Outis thing? Yep. Not too big a sacrifice because it would be an indulgence that I can live without. I like to support people, and organizations who in my mind are doing things in an ethical manner. Likewise if something seems a bit shady I'd prefer not to support it. I'm not perfect in this respect, I buy apple products despite the terrible working conditions they support, I buy sweatshop made dress pants because finding non wool pants made in an ethical way is really tough, and the list goes on. But in this case it isn't much of a sacrifice so I figured I'd take my ball and go home It saves me money at the same time so it is a win win. i'm with you mmmike like this print and beejoir but cant support gp. i wonder why beejoir didn't release this himself via souled out?

In my opinion he was misleading with the promotion of the print and helped fuel the fire that the print might have been done by Banksy even though it was clear B had nothing to do with it.

I like this forum otherwise I wouldn't spend so much time here but it gets to me when there is so much focus and hype around print releases. IMO most buyers are hoping the artists will become big so their prints will be worth something the art itself is irrelevant. There seems to be a bit of a pyramid thing going on here as people hype and speculate on the hype and buy. Meanwhile there are some amazing artists that don't get a second look.

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by Deleted on Aug 30, 2014 0:29:01 GMT 1, Ohh I see. I didn't realize they started that themselves. I liked that Outis print, a lot. Banksy or not and by the time I got on here and discovered GP that print was long gone. I did get one later on too.
Since then they've released a gang of great prints. can't hold their marketing tactics against them when the quality of the work is as good as it is.

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by Gard on Aug 30, 2014 9:50:40 GMT 1, I'm so happy I finally can get this one as a print after I got the original a couple of years back... Love the forward thinking of releasing old images.
Seems like the slogan for street art today is: Didn't the get the original? Don't worry, you can get it in multiple color ways as a cheap print later.

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by Sacked... on Aug 30, 2014 12:07:35 GMT 1, Ah Leonard street. Fine place of ill feeling. It's also nice to link the image to.. It was good at the time , I was so close to buying the 3 set , sanity got the better of me ... Shame it's coming out as a print though , can't fail to look wrong .. Given it was an age ago.. Literally. Now how many people were ripped off by tlsg again ? I know if it was me .. I'd not forget either. .. Oh yeah tlsg was instrumental for introducing me to matt small , legend. TLSG, those were the days. #sniff How is Charlie ,these days ?

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by thomasmer on Aug 30, 2014 14:17:55 GMT 1, Liked it when I saw it back then, not sure if I like it now but I've got a feeling if I don't get it I'll regret it.
Would look cracking in a white box float mounted.

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by alexdb on Aug 30, 2014 20:41:07 GMT 1, Love the large print version, and I will try to grab one. Personally, I don't have a problem with this as a print from an old original. I had several good dealings with GP, so on a personal note I don't have an issue with this release.

Beejoir Graffiti Prints release sept 4th, by Deleted on Aug 30, 2014 22:11:20 GMT 1, Geeze, didn't know there were people who literally refuse to buy from GP because of the way the Outis thing went down.
I wasn't here for that, but did re-read the thread; I think it's hard to tell what happened since GP likely has to do whatever the artist says re: publicity details.
Really though, they're saints compared to most others. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion.
