Visit NORWAY π§π» Oslo β’ Bergen Street Art β’ Galleries, by FΠ― on Jun 26, 2014 15:57:13 GMT 1, Yeah thats cool. See if i was not embracing this i would say that is a basic C215 copy. But that would be an easy dig and not relevant (take note people).
I like how he has created a style from the stencil and the layering. Bit wary of artists who shun commercial work though. They tend to wear baggy jumpers and smell funny.
More please...

Visit NORWAY π§π» Oslo β’ Bergen Street Art β’ Galleries, by Deleted on Jun 26, 2014 19:26:31 GMT 1, question - Do you think Norwegian artists are trying to appeal more to Norweigans or Europeans/Americans? Handmade posters sell in Β£'s which is odd as well considering they are based in norway. English is fairly common in norway as well, it is a main language. From what i read and hear most works go to Norway anyway.

Visit NORWAY π§π» Oslo β’ Bergen Street Art β’ Galleries, by Deleted on Jun 26, 2014 21:32:19 GMT 1, I don't think that todays stencil and street art explosion is nothing more than a global trend that is being promoted via media and internet and some have decided that stencil art sells and all you have to do is stick some images on some walls and hey presto instant credibility as an urban rebel with a gallery clause.
Pochoirs have been done by artists for dΓ©cades.
I can't get too excited about art where someone has spent thousands hiring a big crane scissor platform or scaffold and meticulately scaled up a prepared picture.
It's too commercial art for me.
I prefer dodgy art on walls done without permission even if it is a cow.

Visit NORWAY π§π» Oslo β’ Bergen Street Art β’ Galleries, by mrmao on Jun 26, 2014 21:42:14 GMT 1, Just bought my first art from Norwegian Artist BOT-Grow Up. (Sorry only iPhone pic) Love the idea and concept. 120cm X 120 cm canvas. There is a million great painters/drawers out there, but only a fractions with an original and new twist. Those few will be remebered, and will "outlive" us all.

Just sitting in my lounge i have original works by Dolk, whatson, chris moon, chevrier, dave white, most very different
However you judge norwegian stencil art, it does have its place in urban art history and will be associated together for many years to come

This image is going to hopefully be a print soon and i will be picking it up. I'm in!
All aboard the gravy train or jump on the cash cow
Someone well placed within the scene in Norway posted and mentioned the Government were advising Norwegians to invest in locally made street art(the newspaper article was based on investments)

I can see how a Swede would do an image of a Norwegian riding a cow and vice versa but change the flag to a Ukrainian flag or a Brazilian flag or an EU flag and you have a political statement.

Not to mention that the dude is riding a baby cow, or the artist has never actually seen a cow....

Visit NORWAY π§π» Oslo β’ Bergen Street Art β’ Galleries, by Press Play on Jun 27, 2014 12:48:34 GMT 1, If you guys liked Argus, here is a quick overview over some of the street pieces he has made. Some are "ordinary" stencils and some are more experimental. www.motveggen.com/kunstnere/argus/
John_xc is a british guy who do street art i Bergen. He has definitely his own style www.motveggen.com/kunstnere/johnxc/
Muskelpust (Musclebreath) do mostly paste ups. More abstrakt. Some of the motifs are quite interesting www.motveggen.com/kunstnere/muskelpust/
Just a few. www.motveggen.com have a lot of interesting info about street art in Bergen. It's in Norwegian but I bet Google translate will sort that out.
PS: Keep an eye open for Nimi, Anne Angelshaug and Nemesis

I also saw it as a norwegian anarchist, but the cow nicely brings it down to earth. By the way @streetkart im not sure what cows look like where you are from, but nothing wrong with proportion... You know a cow is not a horse right.
LOL, edit, I hadn't had my coffee...
Yes you seemed to find a photo of a girl on a small cow.
Now I could also be a google genius and post a pic of a giant cow
but really where does that get us....

Now compare your own posted cow with the stupid stencil.
...and you cant believe your having this conversation? You created it, I simply pointed out a size inconsistency.
