What else do you collect?, by jonti on Apr 15, 2014 6:51:35 GMT 1, Any members blow money on charity donations? I donate monthly to wiz staffy bull dog charity monthly.
My and my wife run a charity trust, and we have just given a good chunk for me and my dad to go and install a water pipe from a temple in Sri Lanka down to a village a few miles away with family connections. I think we may be matching sponsorships for a Coast to Coast bike ride (140miles in a day!) some friends and I are doing for Manchester children's hospital burns unit. In fact, can ask for sponsorships on here?

What else do you collect?, by cktbreaker on Apr 15, 2014 15:56:05 GMT 1, I just sent a few thousand dollars to the Internal Revenue Service. Most will be spent on more US military and surveillance on everyone. I feel like shit, being forced to contribute to this crap, while groups like Duke Energy and General Electric receive tax returns.

Very nice
I need to spend time doing this, I have become too lazy using plugins and I know it is not quite as enjoyable (although certainly cheaper)

What else do you collect?, by sky8888 on Apr 15, 2014 18:06:27 GMT 1, The main reason I go for plug ins now is that I record it clean and then just play with the sound to find what I want and I can change it however many times
It is however nice to just sit down and make interesting sounds with pedals and not stare at a screen

Yes mate a very sad time but needs must . I will start another system up in the next few years but doubt i will ever seek out them rare corals again I was lucky to have got good friends with a local aquarium( closeddown now ) owner and I helped un pack the shipments that he got from aboard ( not TMC ) in the middle of the night when they turned up. I got to cherry pick the tasty bits I did enjoy it but as you know took a lot of time to maintain ! Cheers

What else do you collect?, by Stoko on Apr 15, 2014 18:43:00 GMT 1, Exactly. Pedals are immediate and instant. How many hours have I wasted trawling through space design plug ins while stroking my chin? Plug ins are great for mixing, mastering and SFX but when recording a guitar I go for real amps and pedals.

DO IT. My partner is itching for another dog. That or maybe the flea treatment isn't working? Nah, we'd love another. Just need to get the yard sorted first. Who knew that fence panels were so expensive? They're made of wood. It grows on trees!

Once I ran out of wall-space I turned to cars, i don!t do portfolio-stashing To put it into art terms: That Golf up there cost me less than an Eine Exciting print. Then I spent the equivalent of an unsigned Rat on it. It's now worth about an unsigned Rude Copper. And you can't rag a print round a country lane feeling like a 14 year-old who just stole his first car Ha! I did the exact opposite! After I played around with cars, I turned to art (and watches), as they need less maintenace and easier to sell when the time comes (easier to ship abroad!). However, with cars (if you buy right), they tend to go up more if you buy and spend wisely.

Danny I bought a nice watch last year (i have never been a watch person) and a guy said 'you'll get the bug like art and will want more watches'. I said 'no It won't happen?' But i have been looking for the 40yr older version on watch forums (but in mint condition) of the one i have 'and alternate the two'.. The wife won't be happy if I get into watches also!!
