I don't get this at all. Screen prints onto metallic paper look great, but this is just a big biscuit tin with a neate signature on it. No artistic merit whatsoever, just a machine stamping and laser printing some tin. And all for £480!
Art is subjective and that's its strongest point, but an easy pass for me. Probably the same reason i don't go for giclee prints. Lacks the human touch

On the contrary I think the embossed aluminium is the perfect medium for this edition.

The originals are "dimensional" paintings and the artist has clearly looked for the best way to carry that idea through to the editions - and has succeeded very well imo

A regular flat print would completely lose the 3D aspect of the image.

Live a little Elms and forum members pics look good to me.
Adam is always bridging into relief/3D with his work. I'm sure he developed the tooling and printing of this piece as much as any other piece. Remember screenprinting is a production process.

having seen it in the flesh i can promise you there isn't a hint of biscuit tin about it at all. its a lovely piece and the colour palette is wonderful too. Its a decent size as well. Looks fab - immediately identifiable as Neate.

Have to say I bought one, but I do kind of agree with this sentiment.

I am weak though and was swayed by those who have seen it in the flesh saying it looks good.

This release went pretty well, hopefully these have went to Neate fans who liked the image, with plenty of members who don't appreciate his work passing on it, and leaving it for those who actually want to hang it and enjoy it - this is my first piece by Neate, at a nice price point/ edition size. I dithered on the first hug release & missed out, so pleased to add this.

Btw went to have a look today to see what I missed out on and I like torturing myself. It's a nice piece, not as intricate, large or detailed as the previous editions obviously but well priced. Btw in the previous hug it was a man hugging a woman and this one it's the othe way round. And there was me thinking it was Adam with long hair ha.

More editions to follow in the same format
