I would imagine this is in the 20k range?

No, you would be surprised how reasonably priced some of these canvases are by Sam Friedman. If you're in the 20k range you can get a very nice large original. I would reach out directly to Library Street Collective. I also know he has quite a bit of work leftover at other galleries that went unsold from other recent shows.

Smaller 12" original canvases were $1800 at the end of last year.
Larger 48" original canvases were available around $7700 at Chins.

But I've no idea what sold and what didn't.

ahahaha, since when do prices have to make sense when it comes to art ? That being said, I'm 100% with you : I'd buy this original a million time over any Jerkface print ;-)

Friedman is one of the main artists I collect.

Here are some prices.

1. 30x27in canvas 2700$
2. Monoprints 1/1 $1050 retail. $1500 resell
3. Paper originals 52x36 roughly. $4000
4. 3x3 canvas 3200$

yep. only some facts:

ago 2y i bought my canvas for $0,25 per square centimeter.

2018/19 is the canvas price about $0,5 per square centimeter.

but still affordable !

more important (imo): its great art. popping colours. and sam is a very pleasent and reliable guy.

Yes. They’re nice, but last batch were $900 and I’ve seen resellers struggle to sell them, asking not much more!

They've all gone. There were just 5 when I logged in, but I suspect a lot were sold already.

Vast majority was sold during pre sale, only about 5 were available to the public and sold out immediately. Was able to grab one. I do agree that the price hike is steep, but they are essentially 1 of 1s

esentially so were they a few months ago, at 900 if my memory serves me right. So what changed in just a few months?
