I know how ridiculous this will seem to most as the amount of money they cost originally was trivial, and to most of you, even to buy now it would seem so.
I was under the impression that the only authenticity with/for these was the POW receipt /receipt email. So is it possible to get a COA with/without the receipt, has anyone tried. The only reason I ask is, that It will be some time before I can ever afford any other legit Banksy and with so many fakes out there I would love to know that what I would get is legitimate.

you wont get a full/proper COA for one of them as its only a poster

No COA as said above, best bet is to get one with original receipt or shipping tube. Ones bought online won't have the receipt, would have been email order confirmation. I guess many people wouldnt have done that though as at the time it was only a cheap poster.
Have these even been faked? Doubt it would be worth the time / effort for the value when compared to prints?

back in the day, I got my art mad niece and her mate to call up POW for a visit- they were more than happy to let them in and give them a tour, showing them how the prints were made and a cup of tea. I think they go a soup can poster at the end as well,as they were penniless students who couldnt afford to pay £250 for a signed colourway.

and yeah Mike your right "Doubt it would be worth the time / effort for the value when compared to prints". I am well aware of that, I dont have any intention of selling on, it would just be for me to know I had something by Banksy and know its legit because I will prob never afford anything else by him and its a poster I really like.

I meant when they were originally purchased online people probably wouldn't have worried too much about the copy of order because of the value at the time. Now, if you could I would still get the COA as you say, it's good to have, no matter what the value.

As stated above, POW will not issue a COA for the Soup Cans poster.

I contacted them back in March 2014 about this, and essentially, because it is an unlimited and digitally printed poster, it's not eligible for authentication.
