This thread is even weirder than the Outis one. No replies from publisher or artist, book still available and no replies to paypal disputes. Admire your faith that something will turn up sometime.

Maybe it's going to be like the emperor's new clothes! On of us will say we've seen it and everyone else, so not to appear to have lost out, will begin to say they've seen it and it's the greatest most wonderful book ever.

It has to be out into perspective.
If this were a £500 print, I would have opened a dispute, in all honesty. The truth is that I would very much like the book and small original, and so I'm prepared to take a bit of a gamble considering the relatively modest cost. That's all.

I contacted the artist direct via Facebook - it'll be interesting if I get a response!

I also contacted the artist asking him about buying some paintings. He replied straight away. I then asked him about 3 times over the course of four days what was happening about Dizart and no response at all.

I have now opened a Paypal dispute.

So the artist himself doesn't even want to touch the issue with a ten foot pole.  Ok.  I've got 2 days left to open a dispute.  And that just might be what I will do.

Think when people say its not a hundreds of pounds of print is what makes people like this get away with it

If you bought something from amazon & didn't arrive, would you just 'let it slip'?

Lost interest & applied for a refund, don't care if they turn up in the end

Agreed. All about principles here. Not an awful lot of money to lose but lack of any communication or acknowledgement made my decision a lot easier. Surely ppaypal will eventually cancel/freeze his account until this is sorted?

I contacted Dizart thru their website. I can write in french so maybe they will understand and answer.

I've got until Wednesday to open a dispute. I'm very tempted as their customer service is a joke but they said on Jan 23 that output had been pushed back at least one month due to a technical problem and they are working to perfect the book. It also seems they've got numerous other monographs under production for release later in the year. If what they said is true, I'm sure they'll deliver at some point. I paid with a credit card so I'm going to let the dispute deadline pass and fall back on my credit card protection if need be. If I had paid with my PayPal balance, bank card or bank account, I'd probably file the dispute and go back in for them if/when I notice them being delivered.

Had it cancelled via credit card but I called them and cancelled the cancel 
Not 100% confident in what they said.

Somewhat unrelated, does anyone know what the current going rate range is for a Kwangho Shin original? And what's the best way to purchase—go to him directly or through a gallery?

They are $7.5k and up as per UNIX....tried to deal directly with him and he pointed me towards the gallery

Gallery nuovo in korea are a little cheaper i found - they even ship for free and hold more of kwanghos work. He also has an exhibition in berlin and france in march i understand
