Paid by paypal I think. I have never raised a paypal dispute. Is it easy to do? Is the deadline 42 days? I have that figure in mind, from disputes being mentioned on here.

Double check the deadline but that sounds about right. Just say you haven't received the goods and had no response for the seller, then the seller has x amount of days to respond then paypal make the decision on your case. Think that's about right anyway

KwangHo Shin π°π· Seoul, South Korea β’ Abstract Portraits , by gords on Jan 22, 2014 13:21:44 GMT 1, Admittedly I'm relying on google translate but..website states:
PREORDER / SUBSCRIPTION (under 10 Released January 2014) Monograph Kwangho Shin / ARTBOOK 52 pages + A unique original work, signed and numbered by the artist. limit draw of 90.
Despite taking the money, it might be a draw/reimburse policy. Then again, I've no idea

KwangHo Shin π°π· Seoul, South Korea β’ Abstract Portraits , by Coach on Jan 22, 2014 13:45:49 GMT 1, Floubi, as you are French, could I ask a favour? Could you take a look at the site and see if I misunderstood what was on offer, and it's only a draw - the chance to own one if my name was drawn. It would explain why it was so inexpensive, but I did think I was buying the book with the artwork. If I've made a mistake due to my poor French, then that's down to me, and I'll wait to hear if I'm lucky. If that's not clear, I'll raise a dispute if I haven't heard anything when the deadline gets closer. Thanks.

KwangHo Shin π°π· Seoul, South Korea β’ Abstract Portraits , by Someones Brain on Jan 22, 2014 13:56:12 GMT 1, I don't believe it's a draw. Their own english translation (see the item description) does not say anything like that. It just says "publishing limited to 90 copies". Wouldn't it be a bit pricey for a "lottery ticket"? BTW, they have a whole series or collection of books published with 52 pages, some original art and a 35 EUR price tag (see "collection 35"). So the price fits into that scheme.

It means 'printed'. They're saying 90 books will be printed. So they're not accumulating names to eventually draw 90 of them out of a hat! They're simply not delivering what is being advertised. No communication after 1.5-2 weeks... this doesn't look good.

KwangHo Shin π°π· Seoul, South Korea β’ Abstract Portraits , by Collection 1 on Jan 22, 2014 15:44:52 GMT 1, A couple months ago, I contacted dizarts for another book.Imo they are legit but they are a really small edition company. In fact, it's run by a single guy who did this for the love of art from his house. At the time I tried to buy another book but they didn't accept paypal or credit card.He was only accepting bank transfer and the book finally went out of stock:( I think we just need to be more patient and according to the other releases, they all come with an original drawing.Have a look at their facebook page you will see some examples. www.facebook.com/editions.dizart

That's right, there is no "lottery"... Their own english translation is exactly what is written in french. I just contact them through the website and I'll come back if I have some news. If someone needs help in translation you can contact me

KwangHo Shin π°π· Seoul, South Korea β’ Abstract Portraits , by rsj on Jan 23, 2014 14:38:10 GMT 1, I think it is a legit small publishers. It has published many other books of other artists also containing originals. I would have no problems trusting this publishers being able to deliver the books in due course. A few weeks wait is acceptable in my opinion. Why do people assume that more than 90 people have orderd and surprised that it is still available for pre-order? Perhaps really there hasn't been 90 orders...

It's not the wait that is the issue. It has more to do with sending direct emails, sometimes across multiple domains and none of us has had a single reply. That is the unusual part. Small businesses are usually easier to contact than large, especially when customers are asking how to send MORE money.
I'll give it until my window at Paypal almost runs out.
