Banksy - Better Out Than In - New York - BOTI, by 11 on Oct 3, 2013 15:38:13 GMT 1, Its such a shame they are getting tagged and defaced so quickly - did occur to me though that maybe its all part of the show.....how long does an outfit need to turn up and rip a wall out if they have (or even if they don't have ) permission....so by defacing them (and encouraging others to do so) becomes an evolution of the original piece but no longer sale-able as a Bansky (yes, i'm enjoying the phone commentary as much as the pieces)

I live an hours train ride out of the City. My initial plan was to come in every 5-6 days and do a bit of a tour. After the first was destroyed with 24 hours of unveiling, I got my ass out there yesterday. I don't know what I'm going to do now, except go as often as I can.

The phone message for #1 even states 'unless already painted over' rather than tagged, dogged or anything else
The phone number for #2 (dog & hydrant) got placed later so definitely being revisited

So He puts them low and in the midst of a bunch of tags. Said, taggers do what they do and voila, not sellable Instant short shelf life. And now that people are commenting on the tagging, taggers are even more motivated to hit them up.
But who knows really....
