You guys actually think this print is awful? Everyone's entitled to their opinion; I just find that surprising.

Good for you, I am sincerely happy for the people who got through. I kept refreshing probably 20 times, thought I'd wear out the F5 button and it did refresh but could only get to the buy now icon and no further. This was just a cluster F#%* as far as I'm concerned. I should think that Obey and GP should anticipate extreme numbers for their good drops and have the equipment to handle it. They don't, and as a consumer when this happens I am put off for future drops. There are too many other nice pieces of art to purchase at other sites without this kind of Bull S*&#. Get it together. One less fan.

no , not me, i just took an example about the print marketing ( obey is the king anyway for that ) and I like this one, i even made a thread on it. But , if you look well ( I have nothing about Fairey, I have 5 obey on my walls... For my kid ), on the hundred prints from obey, how many " treasures " ? 4, 5 ? The best and top one is The Protester and the most beautiful and intreresting is Imperial Glory ( I have ).
Anyway, already and only 150 £ for an obey print on EBay, means that you will find it at 70 in 3 months....

I agree with Imperial Glory, but not so much with the Protestor. I like this one because it doesn't have that whole "cover it red/black and call it Shepard Fairey" feel.

I agree with Imperial Glory, but not so much with the Protestor. I like this one because it doesn't have that whole "cover it red/black and call it Shepard Fairey" feel.

I would have to say my favorites are the "Orwell 1984" prints or the 2004 "Visual Disobedience" (I have). He has some great stuff and some pretty mediocre stuff as well. But everyone is gonna strike out eventually.

this is kinda interesting - asked the ebay seller with that awful Obey photoshop job why he used that picture and got this response:

"It's the real deal. My first auction got cancelled when Obey & co filed a "Copywrite Violation" against me using the picture of the actual print."

Apparently a few people have said that he files image copyright claims on eBay when he sees people flipping his work. Which is why they are drawing their own stock images and distorting/blurring the original print.

Been saying this for a long time. The Shepard train could most certainly afford a better sales server for less than the over cost of the shipping per month. I really don't get why they are still using the same system when they could so easily make it work better.

Prints on Wood just sent out an email regarding the wood table.

Made 100% by hand, the art piece is first created by a simple print on wood. "Lotus Women", chosen from Fairey's recent art exhibit, 50 Shades in Black, is printed on 1/2" maple wood, then hand stained. A steel frame is then constructed by hand to fit the 38" x 38" wood print, finished with a metal stain then waxed to prevent rusting. The table includes easily removable magnetic legs that can be stored away if hanging the art piece if preferred.

Price is $5,000 with an edition of 25.
Going onsale this Friday (8/19) around 12pm PST.

Will assist in a future drop/lottery. Going forward 2 come to mind. The first is a PB for 1-2 prints at the Horkey Show or the Faile lottery. I go for most drops so I am sure I could help you out....
