Like the print, shame it's a giclee though. It can't have been that difficult to screen print this.

I really like this but I don't buy from them because of their shady VAT practices. Plus I think this should be an original. Any idea how much the originals were and if there are any available?

They were £2000... then in the last show they were suddenly £10,000. Which seemed a bit of an excessive jump...

Yeah, it's a shame they don't do the right thing and refund US customers the VAT element like Jealous Gallery and White Cube do. Especially considering BORF is American! A bit of a kick in the teeth. Sorry, no idea how much the OG's were.

£10k plus vat and sold out instantly.  His best work to date IMO.  Does seem a tad expensive though.

Yeah it is very 'interesting'...When I spoke to the lovely guys and gals at Laz they were all raving about BORF...really strong statements were made.

The artist's bio on the Laz email is an interesting read:

"Detroit's BORF is the name to drop in urban art circles. saw this in my inbox, and liked it straight away.. don't know much about Borf, or his previous works, but this looks very nice and clever.. if I didnt promise myself I'll stay off prints for a while, I'd jump on this in a sec!..

Strongly disagree. Imagine having to separate that! You would need so many colours and it would end up costing significantly more than £175! The CMYK method could be used but even then it wouldn't look as accurate as the giclee. I bet it looks sharp with the screen printed gloss. Can't wait to receive it.

I like this out of all the numbers and think it is very fairly priced. Giclee but does have screen printed glaze which will pull the colours out

it means that there'a a screenprinted layer of varnish to make it look glossy
