Just get as much info as you can regarding the release please Geoff. I think the image on the first post is not a great representation of what will be the finished artical. I've had a NEIBAW in past and if the production is anything like that then it will be a really lovely print. I keep counting the colours. In or around 20-22 screens i'm guessing. A lot of work.

Eelus • After the Rain, by Ruggs on Apr 22, 2013 16:42:54 GMT 1, Just received this from Eelus's newsletter:
After the Rain - A New Screen Print Edition Since the release of my print 'Not Everything is so Black & White' around 3 years ago, I've had hundreds of emails from disappointed collector's desperately trying to get hold of a copy. The edition sold out so fast it left many of you a bit miffed and cringing at the thought of resorting to ridiculously high prices on the secondary market. So in answer to all that I'd like to finally offer some kind of a light with this highly anticipated follow-up release, 'After the Rain'.
Since leaking the image online last week, my inbox has been drowned with requests for pre-orders and general interest for it's release. All I can reveal for now is that there will be a main edition of 175 and a strong possibility of a very limited hand-finished edition. I'm afraid I can't take pre-orders on either of the editions, if I did then both would have sold out already so please be patient and wait for another update to follow shortly with details on a release date. I'm working with the printers now to get this 27 colour monster printed to the very highest quality you've come to expect from my releases. I'll hopefully have more news for you in the next week or so.

Eelus • After the Rain, by Ruggs on May 3, 2013 8:55:10 GMT 1, Update from Eelus's blog!
A lot of you have been asking about the release date for After the Rain so I thought I’d do a quick post to shed a little light on what’s happening. I’ve been going over the fine details with the brilliant people over at K2 Screen in London who have printed many of my editions in the past including Not Everything is so Black & White and Dress Up, and this is what I know so far. This is going to be one of the most technically advanced prints I’ve ever released, with 27 colours and over 20 screens, it’s a bit of a monster.
With a main edition of 175 and another edition of 15 - printed without the girl entirely to allow for some really nice hand finishing, as well as all the proofs, it’s a big ol’ job and needs a lot of serious time and attention to get you the absolute best we can.
So, timings wise we’re looking at mid June. A little longer than I initially expected but I’d be happy to wait twice as long knowing that the production is in the very best of hands and that the finished article is going to be a real treat.
In between now and then keep your eye on the blog as I’ll share bits and pieces of the printing process to show you how it’s all coming together. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on any future news, follow me at Twitter, on Facebook, or you can sign up to my mailing list over at my main site eelus.com.
Big thanks!

Why does this sound less like art and more like the new iPhone in production? I'd much rather artists give less details about the process and just show the finished print. Especially when they're not the ones doing the work.
I'm indifferent to this print and won't be going for one but in general the amount of screens used, etc doesn't mean anything without the right image. I'd much rather a hand done low edition stencil or something with a killer image then a "200 color, microprocessored, heat transferred, wax impression".
But that's just my opinion.

Eelus • After the Rain, by alittle on May 3, 2013 14:05:00 GMT 1, I don't mind seeing process pictures of art in progress. While not exactly my cup of tea, I am happy to see Grafter post up pictures as he is working on hand cutting all his stencils. That is interesting to me.
Personally, I find these types of prints lifeless/soulless. On first glance, they may be aesthetically pleasing to some degree, however, the more you look at them, the more empty they feel.

Eelus • After the Rain, by lifeonwalls on May 3, 2013 15:13:32 GMT 1, process pics are nice but the 6 week+ time frame will now just add more fuel to the hype fire. I'd love to get one but the machine is already rolling so plenty of flippers and speculators will be on the train so it will be clusterf*ck release of epic proportions and I won't pay aftermarket price so c'est la vie.
I really hope he ends up making it the same size as NEISBAW.
