Can someone please explain the appeal of these darn liquidated logos. So you take a logo, you add drips to it, presumably spray paint reference, weak but i get it. At best you've graffiti-ised the logo, the brand? what am i missing. I really struggle with these, and chrst when will it end!

New Zevs & Lucy McLauchlan Prints | The Outsiders, by guymo on Mar 14, 2013 0:12:20 GMT 1, That Zevs stuff is getting very boring. Why do people want corporate logos on their walls? The point is that these prints are representative of his street art practice. Dripping corporate logos are what he does. I think it is clear that they work much better in the street context, but I can see why a fan might like to have a print like that.

yes, but even his street art practice then, why?! what is he trying to say or achieve here, it is not a strong concept in my opinion and it's really annoying to keep seeing it in all honesty! Yes i know others might disagree, but surely there are others who feel the same about this.

New Zevs & Lucy McLauchlan Prints | The Outsiders, by misterx on Mar 14, 2013 4:22:13 GMT 1, "Of course, there is a graffiti aesthetic to my art but I primarily play with the visual effect. I use the original colours and re-paint the logo with excess. By pouring paint over them, the logo dissolves in front of the viewer’s eyes, drawing attention to, and visually disturbing the recognisable and omnipresent trademark. By doing so, I try to investigate the logo’s visual power. It’s a simple gesture, just as in Aikido when you reverse the power and change the flow of energy."
