Unfortunately I don’t think he is. The secondary market prices on eBay would suggest a definite drop in prices of many of his works too. Huge fan of his work but I haven’t bought much of his latest releases as they haven’t hit the mark in my opinion and the ones I have liked have just been priced a little too high for me.

I don’t know whether being a presenter on sky arts has helped or not. There was a rumour he was doing a New York show. Not heard more about that.

I’m a massive Baker fan, but if I’m honest not all images work well. The extended cat image springs to mind. But then again there are amazing works. Fall to alms etc. It would be interesting to see his new work and where it’s gone. After his Sotheby’s show you would have thought his career would have soared.

Perhaps it has soared and I’ve got the wrong end of the stick. I still think he’s a unique artist and still find it strange we talk about him on an urban art forum.

To my understanding this is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Jealous gallery and the journey that he has been on with them. IMO it makes sense to revisit a classic and popular image. Tbh if it wasn't a Panda I'm not sure I'd be bothered.

Plenty of Artists revisit images. Look at Banksy and Rats for instance.

That is a stretch.

If you are happy with it, what does my opinion matter? As I said, Baker is a fine artist whose work I have on my wall as we speak. Only wish this particular edition was something a bit fresher. I retain hope another edition is forthcoming.
