“An avid reader of philosophy, San Francisco-based painter Adam Caldwell is currently wrapping up a new series of paintings that visualize disaster. Though they depict literal explosions, war scenes and other maladies, the works allude to disasters of the metaphysical sort. For this series, Caldwell took an interest in Western culture’s conception of the mind and the body as two separate entities, painting the interiors of mental hospitals with a pastiche of pop culture artifacts and historical tidbits. Brett Amory has really added a ton of hand embellishing to each print with both acrylic and graphite creating truly unique works of art. While each is part of an overall edition of 10, each one has its own unique voice thanks to Brett's numerous embellishments.

Thanks for the kind words guys! It is a great piece, and not a lot of pieces on the secondary market. Personally I think this was the best one in the show at Levine.

Agreed, Looking forward to getting ours here and up on our wall.. Thinkspace are great to deal with as somebody here made a cock up on delivery address thinking he was still in America . Just thinking, Brett has released a lot of work over the past 12 months, large print runs, shows etc. Maybe too much for demand? Is this a good thing? Great artist and looking forward to the print

Nice! I went to the opening pretty late and was surprised they were still available. Didn't pick one up though, since I'd bought the HPM version of #96 a couple of months ago, but kinda regret not getting one of these now. Since each is unique can you post a pic? The only one I've seen is the one they had up at the show, so I'm curious as to what the rest of 'em look like.

On the fence with some of his work but he does seem to have a rapidly growing fan base. I've been after #93 for a while but the Outsiders releases just seem a bit meh.

Saw these were coming out and mailed the gallery to see if they would hold one. When they dropped me a line to say they were still available and going online I couldnt believe they hadn't all gone on show night

Considering theres an edition of 50 available for £250 at a reputable london gallery - $200 for a hand-finished edition of 10 was just too good to resist

I dont think it had been widely publicised and the guy at Thinkspace told me they really were something special so cant wait for it to arrive.
