[Mister Frame Man]

Happy New Year to all clients and to new ones to come in 2013.........

Always one to listen to the people I hear murmerings from a few of you that would like a Faile frame offer.

I have tried these previously, some with limited success and some where I have certainly lost money as not enough people have taken up the offer.

To help me out tell me what you want.....

Frame style?
Mounted, or floated and spaced?
Glass - Standard, UV or museum?
Self assembly or fully fitted in our workshop?
Quantities?

Once I get some feedback I will look at putting an offer up!

Sounds like a great idea! Especially if Faile keep all of the new 150 series at the same size.

I would go for floated and spaced seeing as the print is printed right to the edge of the paper.

And maybe a 2cm box frame in white or black?

And I wouldnt fancy attempting a float myself so I guess that would mean fully fitted at the workshop!

I would go for the same as above but with a bigger box frame of 3 or 4 cms if I decide to frame it soon.

Nice idea MFM and I'd second theorigin's suggestion on framing style (floated and spaced, in thin white box frame, at the workshop).

If there's enough interest and the price is right, you can count me in.

I would imagine so. Provided Gary knows in advance how many of each.

Had mine framed along similar lines, but no coloured spacers. Clearview glass.



Also asked if some of the detail on the back of the print could be exposed as well

Couple of issues we need to take into account:

Collection/Delivery - When I have offered "specials" previously I have struggled to cover the cost of collection/delivery on low value orders.

Float Mounting - This does push the cost up, it takes the same labour time to float a piece 16"x20" as it does a piece 20"x28" for example.

Cost - As a single order I would normally chage £125-£140 for something this size to full conservation standard with UV glass.

My initial thoughts are along the lines of:

£100 each float mounted to full conservation and with UV glass, fitted. Collection/delivery (in London) FOC for 2x prints or more.

£75 each supply only frame with UV glass and lined spacers ready for print to be dropped into frame. £14.95 carriage regardless how many frames.

Or,

If you all want different spec etc with some requiring coloured spacers, 30mm frame, 20mm frame it may be better for me to simply offer 25% off the cost?

Further thoughts please?

Great offer on this series. I appreciate the offer is for the 'standard' series size otherwise it will just get messy. Float mounted/white spacer/frame size hhhmmm - measuring tape out time

Having seen MartinM's pic, I think I now prefer the 2cm frame. Defo floated, and ideally with colour spacers. With UV glass. I have a Saved and a Heartbreak, would need em sending up to the North East (England, not London) =]
