Kennard Phillipps, working since 2002 to produce art in response to the invasion of Iraq, is issuing a run of 100 signed posters (49 x 49cm) of 'Photo Op' for £35 each and donating all the proceeds to The Halabja Community Playground Project. For all sales enquiries please contact ben@artbelow.org.uk.

There's also a mini article on an Eine 'Love' poster at Oxford Circus.

Kennard Phillips 'Photo Op' ed. @ Art Below, by stang on Oct 17, 2012 19:16:16 GMT 1, Thanks for posting - was looking for one of these prints recently - obviously not very efficiently as I couldn't find one, glad to see they're still available - picked one up.
Question is - why did I feel it necessary to spend £195 for a "print" run in a massive edition of 750 when I could have got a "poster" of the exact same image, also signed and in a smaller edition of 100 for £35. Is it the uncontrollable catnip effect of sexy 308gm cotton rag paper or is it simply because I'm not that bright....

That is as wide as it is broad
Interesting (or not) regarding the original

I love the print and think it defines an era without a doubt

Kennard Phillips 'Photo Op' ed. @ Art Below, by Deleted on Oct 17, 2012 20:15:44 GMT 1, I too love the print CG and the jury is well and truly out on this still (imo). Whilst on holiday I read John Simpson's Strange Places, Questionable People which once you get passed the pontificating is an interesting read.
For £35, count me in. Props to the OP.

Kennard Phillips 'Photo Op' ed. @ Art Below, by letiss on Oct 17, 2012 20:20:54 GMT 1, Went to a talk by Kennard earlier this year and he explained that another artist did this with him, can't remember her name though. Also an interesting fact is the mobile Blair is holding doesn't take photos.

Meant that as some kind of political commentary, as in looking back at the carnage caused....didn't work, must stick to the day job.

Oh, sorry. Such subtlety is often lost in type I think. Same true of irony.

Kennard Phillips 'Photo Op' ed. @ Art Below, by stang on Oct 18, 2012 21:33:18 GMT 1, Not sure about the posters as I ordered the print version but got this today
"Thank you for your order.
Please accept my apologies, but there will be a short delay with the despatch of your order due to a later than expected delivery from our supplier. At artrepublic we do make every attempt to hold as much stock as possible of the thousands of prints we offer online, however occasionally, due to demand, prints do go temporarily out of stock.
New stock is due to arrive by the end of next week and it will be despatched by First Class post on the day we receive it.
Please accept my apologies for this short delay and any inconvenience caused."
