Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by Deleted on Dec 9, 2011 16:15:13 GMT 1, I spent the last 5 months in jail wondering if i would be released in time for this print. It has been the worst year ever. I have to turn things around and bag me a banksy for once. Anyone want to help a forum longtime member out with a text when they know! I think i deserve some good luck!

Hard to know what to say to anyone who for whatever reason has spent time away from where they want to be other than I hope next year blows the doors off and you have a cracking 2012. Good you can be with friends and family for Christmas

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by gibbin82 on Dec 9, 2011 17:59:47 GMT 1, As some others have said I would like to see this go as a lottery to people who are on the POW mailing list, however even this is not a completely fair method as I am sure there will already be quite a lot of people with multiple email address registered possibly dozens of registered address's just waiting for the lottery to happen. So to make it a bit fairer and put off the chancers, I suggest an even better way would be to: make the lottery only available to the mailing list but do it on a paid for ticket system (I suggest a fiver that would go to charity) that would cut out a lot of the chancers and also put a field on the lottery application page that asks for a postcode and house number that must match the debit/credit card or PayPal account address. The lottery applications could then be easily checked by computer to see if there were any matching postcode house numbers and anyone trying it on with multiple address's removed from the lottery. Although it is not completely fool proof, I think the reduction in applications and the money raised for charity would make it worthwhile.

why the fuck are you bothered about how POW go about their business, when you continually slag them off?

Hardly think that is a fair comment, I admit that I felt a little upset when i saw the Dran Art Thief on eBay the night they went online after not even seeing a add to basket button, thinking POW could have done it a little different to sell as little as 35 prints (some of them that may possible have never been available). I also thought last nights book launch was very disappointing after travelling a considerable distance to find the promised book signing didn't happen, but I don't think either of these adds up to continually slagging off POW and why shouldn't I be bothered about somewhere I do business with if it what was suggested did make things a little fairer, that is if POW were bothered.

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by iamzero on Dec 12, 2011 23:39:21 GMT 1, I think we'd be foolish to think that the galleries, POW etc. are actually bothered who the prints go to. They are after all just a business there to make money. After they have taken the hundreds of pounds for each print that probably costs around £4 each to produce what do they care what happens? So why would they be concerned in making things 'fair' once they've made their 40% of a £2 million print release evening?
Just a thought.
