Spreading sum Chrimbo cheer... free ltd ed cards, by tobomoore on Dec 15, 2009 15:37:04 GMT 1, A man is in a queue at Tesco and sees this busty blonde staring at him, he cant believe she is staring at him, then she starts waving. "Excuse me do I know you" he asks.
"Yes I think you are the father of one of my kids" she says.
The man thinks back and remembers his one act of infedelity and says " ****ing hell are you the bird I shagged on me stag do, whilst your mate whipped me and your other mate stuck a brush up my arse"
"No" she replies "I am your sons English teacher!"
Id love the pigeon if theres still one going - happy xmas :-)

Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by tobomoore on Dec 14, 2009 23:23:25 GMT 1, All im saying is that POW did say that some of all future releases would be available from the shop direct. That was what they did. The shop is in London. With the exhibition, there was a lot of speculation about a print being released there as well. So Londoners would have had to travel to get it. It seems that more people have managed to get their hands on their first Banksy this way, not all just from London, and, although there were the obvious profiteers, the dual online and direct releases is to be applauded.

Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by tobomoore on Dec 14, 2009 21:09:48 GMT 1, My understanding was that "Grey version available in store on the 12th of Dec". I'm not sure how they can make this clearer... You had weeks warning
i agree with that as well. It was obvious. Only on here that people started speculating about in-store raffle spread over five days etc

Banksy โข No Ball Games GREY, by tobomoore on Dec 13, 2009 14:15:40 GMT 1, POW were trying to stop the multiple family purchases by saying it was only one per household when giving out the tickets. There was one family who got there early hours, husband got in queue while wife and daughter slept in the car. They came back at six am just as the tickets were being handed out and husband already had his. The wife and daughter were sent to the back of the queue and didnt get a print. Well done POW

Banksy โข No Ball Games GREY, by tobomoore on Dec 12, 2009 13:43:47 GMT 1, Well that was an experience! Cold, uncomfortable, but a good laugh and my first banksy from source.
There were many people in the queue buying on behalf of 'others' so think ebay will be very busy with this print.
Funny watching people trying to blag a ticket saying they had been there since 1am when they plainly hadnt (not dressed for it, hair all in place, fresh as a daisy) especially the two lads who pushed in without tickets and, after being left to queue for 2 hours, were pulled out by the excellent security.
Also blagged a date farmers t-shirt and new POW sickers with the print so all in all a good result. Looking forward to getting it framed and on the wall.

Boot Sale, by tobomoore on Aug 10, 2009 21:46:51 GMT 1, Denzil - thanks for that. But im not an artist and have no intention of being one. Just thought it was a cool concept highlighting the way our government keep sending troops into stupid, unecessary wars without even giving them decent equipment. If help for heroes is the wrong charity, maybe theres a better one, and if it was picked up an established artist to develop the concept it could raise a few quid.

Boot Sale, by tobomoore on Aug 10, 2009 15:32:11 GMT 1, thanks - but dont think a print by some bloke with a rudimentiary knowledge of photoshop is going to raise much for the charity :-) Apart from my mum, I dont think anyone would buy one. !!
Was hoping that one of the far more talented visitors to this board would like the concept, not the picture necessarily, and produce something that would be desirable and raise money for the cause.

Boot Sale, by tobomoore on Aug 10, 2009 14:23:08 GMT 1, My intention is not to ask for a critique of the picture. What I was suggesting was that if it was a reasonable idea/concept, someone could take it, improve on it, and hopefully raise some money for the charity.

Boot Sale, by tobomoore on Aug 10, 2009 13:41:59 GMT 1, After visiting the Banksy exhibition in Bristol I was thinking about how he comes up with so many ideas and trying to think of one of my own. An idea came to me after reading about more of our troops being killed due to our government not providing them with the right equipment. I knocked up a rough version in Photoshop and have added it here.
Im not an artist, and the only painting ive ever done is a bit of painting and decorating in my house. What I was wondering is, if the 'concept' is any good ie the title and the sentiment behind it, whether someone more talented could take the idea and create something that could possibly be sold to raise money for the Help for Heroes fund. Obviously the bigger 'name' the better as it would raise more money. I have sent the idea to POW and Pestcontrol in some vain hope that the main man might get to read it but no response.
This may be a stupid idea but just thought id get it out of my system :-)
