The most friendliest Artist.., by graffalo on Jan 23, 2010 20:10:07 GMT 1, C215 is a top bloke but I think most of the artists gallery owners/employees and fans of this type of art I have met have been very friendly. The rule rather than the exception in my experience.

Frame Shop Damaged my Choe?!?!?!, by graffalo on Jan 21, 2010 20:52:22 GMT 1, I agree, and no it is definitely not too much to ask.
I think I would try to get them to admit the damage asap and before taking it back, otherwise they may try to say you caused the damage. You could ask how the damage occurred and take it from there. If possible I would confirm this in writing or an email in case they try to back track later. Once they admit the damage then hit them up for a new print. They can keep the old one and sell it for what ever it is worth in its damaged condition.
Just my thoughts. Again good luck.

Frame Shop Damaged my Choe?!?!?!, by graffalo on Jan 21, 2010 19:45:06 GMT 1, This sucks. I know others on here have had similar problems with framers. Theres a recent thread on this. I think that if it were me I would want the framers to replace the print. Probably would not want them to reframe it in case they boged it up again. There is also the issue of problems you cant see as well as the ones you can. Good luck and yes out them here!!

Damien Hirst Spin Painting, by graffalo on Jan 21, 2010 11:35:17 GMT 1, so you can buy a piece for £125 or if you want hirst's squiggle on it add 10-20k.
Imo its a no brainer at that price if you like them - which i do!
Out of interest, do all of the official Hirst spins have the name of the person who actually made it in the studio on the reverse side?
It looks like that is the reason for the stamp?

Bast • The Wig Print, by graffalo on Jan 19, 2010 18:38:43 GMT 1, I have noticed that his prices have been increasing but seems to be producing less. Given the edition sizes and fact that these are hand painted still think that they're not too bad price wise. Be interesting to see what the prices are like at the Laz show!!

It was waiting for me at the post office. I got it this Wednesday. Call your post and give them your tracking number. Btw- this print is amazing!
I agree, awesome print, ink is so thick in places it has wrinkles!

Antony Micallef - giwtbb back up at pow, by graffalo on Jan 14, 2010 20:24:41 GMT 1, Some very nice framing there guys, I do think it is a stunning print but at an edition of 1000 £300 still seems a bit toppy.

Interest Free Loans to buy art, by graffalo on Jan 10, 2010 22:36:56 GMT 1, Finance companies don't give free loans. Hitachi will be an invoice dicsounter (or something similar) which means if the retailer sells to you at 100 Hitachi will pay the retailer 100 less a percentage (to compensate them for the risk that you may not pay the 100 in a years time) so the retailer will sell at a margin that takes this into account. I agree mookie cash is king!

Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by graffalo on Jan 8, 2010 14:08:15 GMT 1, Postage plus VAT and handeling fees etc will make the green ones from the US quite expensive for UK buyers and I think that a lot of people find the green a bit loud. prefer the green. If I could get one for around £1500 all in I would go for it
I agree, although I think that we may be a minority on this. Looks like prices are going south at the moment so £1500 all up might be possible Could be a good time to buy as well as demand will be reduced due to it being so soon after Xmas. It will be interesting to see if more hit the bay once the COAs are sent out or whether this might be the least flipped print that I can recall.
