Just managed to purchase a Shimmering Red!!
I think the detail and hand finishing on these should make them pretty special...
AND compared to the last Laz releases they did, and even the prices of the rather average Paper Monster releases, I think these are quite a bargain (relatively speaking!!)
Now who want to buy my Eelus canvas so I can pay for this !!???

That's quite a reach... Pretty sure the piece is about two naked chicks (Rosa) kissing underwater (Sub?). One is a mermaid. |

Had one of those in the basket but by the time the check out button decided to work there was not enough time to fill out all the information. Good thing though I guess since I have no cash whatsoever and just would have put it on the card not knowing how to pay for it...
Great print and fair price in my opinion.

I just got the black one as well. I think the pink wash against the faded black works really well. I have no problem with the price either.

Just purchased a black version. On the fence for a while and started having cart issues as I went to check out.
I've been needing to add a quality Faile to my collection and this edition size/image/price was spot on. Yes, the original Sub-Rosa image in the blocks is fantastic but I was growing bored of the block look.
I'd much rather have this small edition at twice the price than any other of the recent releases at 3-4x the edition size and half the cost.

Bagged a Black Sub Rosa also. Classic image and I love how dark it is. The pink paint drips behind the black layer will look great, as will all of the hand-finishing Faile love. Can't go wrong here, fair price, low edition, and no block style (never warmed up to that style).

Imambo -Call me old fashioned, but a picture of a mermaid and a girl kissing - smacks of teenage fantasy and should remain on a boys bedroom wall. I know, as a kid, the film splash game me the horn and that was without a hint of lesbianism! With regards to the quality of the print, and Failes work in general - I am sure it will be stunning in the flesh - they almost always are. As for Hirst - love or hate, how the man has manipulated the art market is simply amazing. As for coloured spots, they give me pleasure but say very little - I enjoy the uniformity and vibrancy of the colour. IMO - Faile just need to pick better images to start with. Sexy, not slutty. Fingers crossed the next release! Lezbo girl kisses lezbo mermaid (underwater)- one has nice little tits. I am missing something - or have I just turned middle aged? Grow up!!!! if this image says nothing to you, what about different coloured dots on a white background (aka Hirst's spot)?  |
