Dear all, On the 28th and 29th of June 2012 I'm organising the first of a series a pop-up exhibitions in London. This one will exhibit David Shillinglaw's art in an attic space in Notting Hill. The idea is to bring together art, music and charity so in addition to prints, and original paintings for sale we'll have various DJs creating a relaxed atmosphere. 50% of all proceeds from art sales will go directly to Kith & Kids, a London-based disability charity (no. 1080972). Soon I will be running a competition to give away exclusive Something in the Attic screen prints by David Shillinglaw, so keep an eye out on these forums. RSVP is essential, please e-mail: info@somethingintheattic.co.uk specifying which date(s) you would like to attend. Hope to see you there, Cedric

David Shillinglaw just gets better and better in my opinion. I wish I could get to one of his shows, but presently circumstances prevent.

Thanks AJ, I think he's doing great things at the moment. He recently collaborated with the likes of ROA, Best/Ever for the Wide Open Walls project in Gambia and a lot of the work we'll be showing next week will have influences from his travels to Africa.

He's actually working an installment for the show which involves a cactus theme. Here are some more pieces he's been working on over the weekend:

We've just finished hanging the show. I don't want to give away too much, but everything will be for sale including some very well priced items including the small drawings / paintings which make up this installation. Free Champagne and Cupcakes at 6pm tomorrow (28th) for all those who are able to make it early.
