Always has been a gamble but a good strategy for auction houses... Putting low estimates to attract bidders & bid wars. Too high estimates can discourage people from even trying!

The auction results make for interesting reading. Even with the incentive of a reduced buyers premium a significant proportion of Lots unsold. Unsigned Banksy prints going for less than I would have expected. Possibly not marketed as well as other auctions?

realistic prices for the banksys where sold, but glad to see that Brainwash is no longer a banker.
Some of the stuff on there has really dated badly I daresay
