'Chasing Bones' Plastic Pup Preorder The dog wanted that bone, it wanted it more than anything else. Oblivious to his surroundings, he continued to chase after the bone, pounding the ground with each paw. Relentless, hungry and hopeful, the dog was happy.I'm very happy to present the 'Chasing Bones' Plastic Pup, crafted by hand from start to finish, available for preorder. At just under 4" tall, the dog has fancy magnetic feet and a tasty bone swinging on, like, real string! The model is cast from the eighth and final dog in a line of sculpted prototypes. I knew nothing about urban vinyl or mould making when I first started out and so it was a laborious journey to get here. Each of these pups are cast and painted by hand, produced to the highest of standards and enclosed within a robust display case, which I‘ve also made myself... no unimaginative paperboard boxes here! Although I like to have my plastic pup wander free from the case and sit on the desk, reminding me life is a challenge and you need to keep chasing the things that you're oh so hungry for. The 'Chasing Bones' Plastic Pup is available for preorder at www.pahnl.co.uk/store.php

Thank you, blakeies, I'm glad it was worth the effort...documenting yourself at work (in film, no less!) is tricksy to say the least.
Haha, Eduar, cheers amigo ;D Messaged back, too.

They're really cool especially with the display stand. Like the vid showing the manufacturing too. It's always nice to see how you artists actually make things.

And I don't mean me and the missus arguing! ;D I think the textual sentiment 'tints' the scene beautifully and what's nice is that it's personal to you through the changes. Thanks, caddy, the display case was a bit of effort too. Cutting and drilling steel is a the very definition of elbow grease! Fired away, Phenna.

Your art definitely deserve more attention, Pahnl. Quality again, as usual.

Lovely work there Pahnl. Love the video too. What's the pressure cooker thing it goes into?
Cheers

It's a modified pressure pot, which'd typically be used for spraying paint and adhesive but I had to do some sawing to remove the uptake pipe inside the pot since it was using up a lot of space. At a nice 55psi (at 60, the safety valve releases, which was a point of anxiety when I was first getting to grips with the setup), it pushes the majority of air bubbles out. That, and a few other casting tricks, produce some great models.

As a heads up for those that aren't familiar with me on Facebook, I have had to pull out of Upfest and won't be painting in Bristol this year. Always a pleasure catching up with you guys in person but unfortunately I can't make it this time.
Nonetheless, here's hoping the weather holds out for everyone come the weekend.
