I got banned for a few days not long ago without any warning or message, and just shrugged my shoulders as I sort of new what it was for. He-ho! But then the whole cartrain thing came along and people 'complained' that they were not even told or given a warning before a ban ... so (tin hat on ) I am going to say that Dan/mods are only doing what people 'asked' ... Dan does not always see the funnier side of things ... but then again sometimes we all deserve to go on the naughty step ;D

I thought the reply I got to the first one strange as I had replied to it with a few questions and the answer didn't seem to match. It makes sense now as they were cut and pasted to at least 2 other people.

I hope the following doesn't get me banned. But I am pissed off after reading this thread earlier.

I had received a couple of PM's from Daniel Silk warning me to calm down on the forum, there have been some users either deleted or banned by Daniel in the last week or so that I've not agreed with and been quite vocal about, so I thought fair enough, and, I replied to these politely, with questions and concerns that I felt needed to be raised. Since reading that at least 2 other members had gotten the exact same "cut and paste" replies in the form of warnings I have gotten more and more annoyed.

If I answer the administrator/owner's warnings with legitimate concerns and they are ignored, what am I supposed to do? I don't know the answer myself, perhaps Daniel or one of the other moderators can answer that for me.
I am publishing the PM's between Daniel and myself, seen as he didn't see fit to take the time to answer them privately, maybe he will answer them publicly.
(I should point out that all of these messages were sent/received before this thread was started - Daniel opened my last reply shortly after I sent it at 19:01 on Sunday, has been online since, but not answered as yet). Daniels PM's are in quote boxes, my replies in bold underneath...

However, in my opinion, there have been a few too many knee jerk bans handed out in the last week or so. For little more than jokes. I do feel you have some responsibility in all of these, as they were mostly to do with Cartrain, and we all know the response that's coming even if you don't.

Hunter007 is a VERY well liked member on here - yes, he can gobby, but, he is also funny and incisive. I do hope he will be allowed back on at some point soon.

I'm not looking for a row, just making my feeling known.

I am taking this seriously and I don't really understand your response. My previous messages to you, and this, are intended as a discussion, that is all.
I have not been posting much at all since the last PM between us yesterday and nothing I have written could be interpreted as negative or aggressive. Generally I don't come on here being negative, quite the opposite - if I don't have anything nice to say I usually keep it quiet. There have been a few exceptions to this, but they are far from the norm - to me anyway...
I do have an opinion on some of the recent bans/deleting of accounts and have been voicing them, maybe not in the best way, but I've taken note and will change how I do so in the future. My views on Hunter007, haven't changed, I believe he's a good member, a joker for sure (but often than not at his own expense), he's well liked and I hope he will be allowed back on.
If there's something specific I should be doing, let me know...

As I said at the top, I am not looking for a ban, and I am certainly not looking for a fight. But I feel when I am being told to act seriously and behave like an adult, I should in turn be treated with respect, and, when I ask legitimate questions politely, have them taken seriously, answered personally, and, not with "cut and paste" threats and warnings. Seriously.

I would like to know how many other people have been getting these same warnings and how they have been responded to if you have replied to them.

I would also like to know why the original thread (thread #95636) was deleted at approximately 03:40 and reinstated (as thread #95641) 10 mins later? I know this because I went to post this reply originally, I got an error message saying the thread didn't exist and it had also disappeared from the last 100 post page, I checked around and it was back 10 minutes later. Would it have been deleted because the owner/administrator didn't like the criticism he read about the identical threats he'd been issuing to members, deleted it, then thought better because of the 610 hits the thread had got and the amount of people who would know he'd deleted it?

I Myself (and, I would think, many other members judging by the comments in regard to bans and the recent nosedive in Daniel's respect score) have not been happy with a lot of what has gone on in the last week - it seems to be getting a little out of control. Hopefully some the other moderators see this and can step in as I feel that certain powers are being abused.

If I do get banned, it's been lovely. Mostly.

From 160 to minus 109. What you forget guys is that if you neg some one they have maybe an idea who or a guess. Daniel can look it up. So he can see who it is so no wonder he's pissed off. I would be to

Daniel think you should also chill a bit and reduce the banning it does seem to happen a lot and for smaller and smaller things which is a shame.

Think people on here should show a bit more respect to everybody. There are so many daft rows etc. I've played my part in a few of them so not being holier than thou I am as bad.

The amonimity of the web allows people to just be rude to each other but shoul not really be happening on here. May be people should pm some apologies to each other.

You are so right Johnny, it's easy for people to be rude behind the screen. Personally, all this Cartrain thread was a pain, I didn't take part of the discussion nor took time to read the posts because I know people are stubborn and rude... and I could see where this thing was going !!

But !! There is a but !! I fail to understand why the video was originally posted and why it can't be locked after few days ??
