New idea I have been experimenting with. I am creating these for a show in June and I thought I'd show you these test pieces. They are all cut from orginal bank notes. If anyone is interested you can email me: contact@imbueUK.com

Like it I'm not sure about the A4 piece of paper is the best way to display them, but love the idea.

I like also ... I would just show the left hand sheet ... and not where it came from ... at least not both together ... maybe across the other side of the room ... more powerful ... would also experiment with diff backgrounds.

I thought there were heavy penalties involved when one defaces paper monies?? from the original act (currency and bank notes act 1928): "If any person prints, or stamps, or by any like means impresses, on any bank note any words, letters or figures, he shall, in respect of each offence, be liable on summary conviction to a penalty not exceeding one pound."ooooh. scary. anyway those notes don't look like any kind of sterling i've ever seen. i do like them though.

Agree about background...imagine this with a shiny gold-leaf type background that would be a, ahem, harsh juxta-position to the message embedded in the piece itself...

I like the idea and really like these shot I've quoted. If there was a way to have just a single word on a small landscape background, then I think that would look nice... might lose the message though! Psycho666
