Never do Option B. Buy what you like and what you want to see on your walls. Do some research, have a look around.
Never buy art based on someone else's taste.
Option A will get you a nice original by quite a few quality artists.

If you want to combine your passion for art and a good investment. I suggest you buy an unsigned Banksy print from the earlier days. Maybe Grannies, Flags, Any of the Rats.

Bernie, which artists do you like?
if it were me, i'd look to commission an og man, will give you much greater pleasure than a print, and as its a commission you feel like you were part of the whole process....

An original or commission by someone you like ( if possible), or something that has a good chance of standing the test of time.
As others mentioned, older unsigned banksy ( rats, virgin mary, cnd... older instantly recognisable banksy images, easier to sell on later if required). One of the shep HMP's that are becoming available in "for sale" threads might be almost achievable for your budget, (may need to save a bit more, but its a hell of a good start).
Or.... spunk it up the wall and have a great weekend.... art comes and goes, but great weekends live forever.

I have faile stencil and denning originals for sale. See my sale thread.
Speaking less selfishly, what others above have said. I would buy an og, and make it one you are in love with. Or an u/s Banksy would be great.

try to get an OG, many great artist are in that price range. IMO it is always better to buy something new than paying five times the price for something you missed a few years back... unless you really cannot live without it And if you don't find something today, just wait until you find the right piece, save up, there's no shortage of great buys in the very near future...

As said above, research & find an artist you like and contact them/find out how much an OG would be.. Nice to have an original that no one has else has got. Even better if you can go to the gallery and see the works in the flesh, last thing you want is to spend 1500 notes online from a gallery - it turns up and you think its s**t... Prints - as this is a Banksy forum, an unsigned 'Applause'. I never rated this until I saw one the other day in the flesh, looks great and its massive!! Be a great first print to have ( and you may get a good deal around 1k??).. Or if you do end up in Prague/Amsterdam sniffing coke off the bum cheeks of a 'James Bond Girl' looking hooker - dont forget to mail us the details fo the weekend

1500 is a lot of money! I'd ony spend it on an og. Just ask around and email artists you like, 99% of the artist have some work lying arund to sell, most of the time much cheaper than galleries!
You can have a great weekend too!

Mr Jago, you'll get a piece of art that is mind blowing for that price. No better artist around on canvas in this seen again imo. Get in touch with Mike at art-el and he'll sort you out. say hi from me.
