Has Hunter007 bitten the bullet then? I liked his humour, it seems anyone with a personality gets the boot in the end.
Back on topic, bought one of the Heinz beans cans, it wasn't my first choice but I like it none the less.

I thought one of the ones with a hat was still left earlier , not sure about now though.
The big oil drum at the back is impressive as well...

Ah, bit harsh there Silky. I was stuck at work all day so I phoned the gallery, spoke to a very nice French lady and bought one over the phone.

the artist name is strange, but these expressions on the faces always makes me want to cry... guess the artist effectively achieved the *sigh* concept... still love bunnyboy's one, alot!

The artist name alone makes me smile, the idea of a dog sighing while settling down after a satisfying run in the park makes me happy - but, I'm an official dog nut. The pieces all have little personalities of their own, and I love that about them too. If I had gotten the black treacle one I liked, I'd probably say "Alright Treacle" to it each time I walked past. My dad calls everyone "Treacle" and he popped in my head as soon as I saw it, so it's not as strange as it seems. Not to me, anyway...

Hi guys. Sorry if I seemed off when messagedpair was never my intention to remove myself from the people who like my work. Indeed I have been stupid busy with live paints, commissions, free art exhibitions and the show. As a result of comments here I decided to keep my prices lower (small cans are £150 as opposed to the £180 I had originally decided to sell). Those who do the maths will see that a 1 of one, framed painting gets me (after gallery commission is removed) £75. Remove from that the framing costs (£25) and tax (yes I am registered) and a second can that goes out on the streets (it's stupid hard but at the moment it is happening) you'll see I'm almost making £5 an hour. (not so far away from the little man now eh?)
PE is my first solo show it has been a life highlight and to my surprise and amazement has almost sold out In the first day. I'll be working on more cans for online release soon but I need to start earning minimum wage on them so can't promise they'll stay at that price. I've given up my full time teaching job to focus on my art so yes i will be looking to sell in galleries. But, I've worked for 13 years on the street and still put three paintings a week out on the street at part of my freeartfriday project. Close to two thousand free paintings. and my heart will always be with street work. I hope this goes some way to explaining where I am and where I'm going.
If the can man gallery thing is not you're bag, I'll be painting at Upfest (bristol) and Sun sea spray(Blackpool) as well as my weekly free art Friday drop every Friday.
Happy to discuss anything with anyone mydogsighs@hotmail.co.uk

s**t. My response was to page one of this thread. I hadn't worked out there were more than one pages and the initial discussions weren't as positive at these last two. Wow. Thank you all for the feedback. I had no idea about this community until recently (having lost my soul to fb, ig and twitter) but will try and get back as often as I can (have no idea how to navigate this place lol)

Very much deserved. My Dog Sighs has been doing his thing for years and I'm so glad he is getting some recognition. I have never been to one of his free art events but they sound amazing! Anyway the first picture (I'm told) was one of inspirations for the can series and the others having been on my daughters wall since she was a baby! (She is 5 now and loves them!!!!)

Kudos for your freeartfriday, putting cans in the street and trying to keep prices low !! Congrats !! 50% com at gallery, it looks like PE need to update his ethos and principles - "We pay the artists 75% of sales because we can"

Can't knock Charlie. He's been incredibly helpful. 20% of the gallery price is vat then the Charlie takes a reasonable 25%. Dont think I could reach this new audience without a gallery's help.

^ Thanks for spending the time to come on the forum and comment I find it really refreshing when an artist like yourself takes the time to connect. Glad to see your doing so well, loved the piece on the culture show the other week.:)

MDS I went to your show last night and it was one of the best I have been to in a long time. And you are one very nice guy. Only problem I had was trying to locate one of your free cans from the Street Art map whilst looking for the tube station, in the rain, in the dark. Shoreditch is one evil place when you're drunk looking for an empty baked bean can. Good luck for the future and yes one day I will find one.

I went back to look at it several times after buying my Heinz can, I think I'd have bought it had it still been there today.
