It's been about 9 months since the little sperms around the alarm was done. Do you think it is actually a Stork not a Crane and Mr. B is announcing the birth of his child? about 12 month, not 9. ans he also did this last december: That's the end of my theory. Thanks for bursting my bubble.

Very true. If this was found to be someone else the thread would drop pretty quick. As its banksy... Have you not noticed how lifeless this scene is? This is getting attention because who wants to talk about Eelus's latest print? Having said that take out all the meaningless 'this is nice', 'where is it' posts and you get closer to a true length of thread.

he's quite good with shading! It looks good but it is just a matter of spraying on the edge of a bit of card... Not saying I could do it mind!

Fragile and Deputy it is a piece by one of the most if not the most important Urban Graffiti artists why would you be surprised at the interest.
I would be pretty sure that there is a meaning to the piece just not known yet.
Just because it does not have a slogan does not mean its meaning less.
It needs to play out yet for a while
I likke it

Japanese legend has it that anyone folding 1,000 paper cranes will have their heart's desire come true. Because of this, and the following tale, it has become a symbol of peace.
Sadako Sasaki was exposed to radiation from Hiroshima as an infant. By the time she was 12 she was dying of Leukemia. She decided to fold 1,000 origami cranes to wish for life. However, after some time of being around many other dying children she realised she wouldn't survive and instead wished for world peace and an end to suffering.

Don't forget to take out the predictable DD negative take on things...that'll shorten the thread length too.

Additionally, Goldfish (or rather Koi) represent courage, the ability to attain goals, and the overcoming of life's difficulties.
But they also symbolise elevated status, worldly aspiration and advancement, and can change hands for over half a million dollars between collectors.
The artist has a number of pieces at auction soon.

Deputy why do you believe the scene is lifeless though. Surely it cannot be that lifeless as you spend a lot of time on here critiqueing it. There is plenty going more now than ever. Now due to its growth you do get more of all levels of stuff but not sure lifeless is correct. So may be rather than asking for a comment on your critique you should explain the above and your comment. As I do not believe most of us think that the scene is lifeless Rogermiller love the Crane story. It's amazing at the Hiroshima peace monument when you see the streams of Parker cranes that are 1000 long.

Why not come back with a point answering my critique? I'm not sure what exactly you're critiquing here? The piece, the scene, or the forum. Or all three? The piece is aesthetically attractive and I admire it's placement, but in this case I think it's a piece that's made better by the location shot...not so much the work itself. Others might draw deeper meaning from its content, but for me it's a nice (if throwaway) piece. He's done better, no doubt. But like jonnyh says, the scene's not lifeless at all. It might be sometimes lacking in depth, but so what? There's still plenty of gems out there, most recently for me has been Dolk's work. You might find mundane some of the posts on the forum, and you do often bring up some interesting criticisms....but I'm sorry I just don't get all the negativity. It just gets to be a real drag after a while.

Karl Stryker by John Hassett, on Flickr How can the scene be lifeless when someone is doing this.......?????? Meaningless may be..........but I bet it brings a smile to everyone who passes it and I bet they enjoy it...........that makes this alovely piece of art in my book By Karl Sryker taken off a thread on here of his works. Thought it summed things up really. This is kind of street art/Graffiti (alongside tagging) in its purest form

There are interesting comments on FB, mentioning the fact that we are one year after Fukushima tsunami. Could be some sort of hommage.

New Banksy di the lonely villein This is really nice. You can imagine anyone looking at that and having a positive reaction to it - aesthetically its beautiful. I don't care who it is by, or whether it will result in 500 prints in multiple colourways with deckled edges, its beautiful simplicity on that wall, next to that canal is all that matters.
