Nah, too messy plus I think banksy would have the rat standing on the ground, and a least get it straight.

Why would someone go around putting up fake banksy stencils?

Why would someone go around putting up fake banksy stencils? I have a drilling rat sprayed onto my wheelybin, just to identify it from others in the street. The stencils are freely available on ebay, as for why would someone put up fake banksy's who knows why, its been going on for years, there was a fake gangster rat on the wall outside andipa 5 years ago.

Yeah I'm not arguing its real, just wondering the motivation to do it.

Yeah I'm not arguing its real, just wondering the motivation to do it. mucking about and cat amongst the pidgeons I'd guess... a recognisable image, all of a sudden there is a thread with "is it, isn't it?" questioning etc.... doubt there is any serious intent or reasoning behind it ( unless its an elderly resident hoping the wall gets removed by Vermin, thus allowing less restricted access to the land beyond the wall).

Haha fair enough. Reckon I'd still rather see this on the street as a fake then half the rubbish stencils on the walls of Shoreditch at the moment!
