Subterranean Exposure (c), by eschiff on Mar 20, 2012 13:51:58 GMT 1, agreed. i think once some process photos are posted people will get a better idea of these, they're all quite thick glass (or epoxy) giving the images a really nice depth.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 20, 2012 15:51:22 GMT 1, So this particular piece has led lights embeded in the epoxy that light up a piece of slot machine glass. The surface is one inch thick, smooth, and glass like. This is the fourth piece I've done with an electronic component, and I'm still figuring out the logistics of doing so. I just wanted to take some shots where you could see more than a cropped front image. More process photos to come.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 20, 2012 17:23:10 GMT 1, No, I havent had a show in three years now. I'm trying to get a few things going but its hard to get a gallery to bite when I'm so unknown. Its kind of a funny thing how it takes shows to get shows. Its like where do you start? Most of the time I feel like I'm spinning my wheels.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 20, 2012 19:00:54 GMT 1, Guilded Age-
So ofcourse this came after the Hope poster, but its not inspired by it. Whats funny is that people automatically asociate an image of Obama with Shepard Fairy. The general response I've gotten from this piece is that ppl are sick of the imagry. Guess I dont really blame them.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 20, 2012 20:28:18 GMT 1, So to give everyone a sense of what kind of depth these paintings or sculptures can achieve, here are a few images of a meatball that I encased in a 5"x5"x3" block of epoxy about three months ago.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 21, 2012 16:23:35 GMT 1, Here are a few process pics of a piece I'm working on right now. Its done on a needle-point picture that I found at a junk shop. Once I poured a primary layer of epoxy I started adding layers of paint and product labels.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 21, 2012 17:57:02 GMT 1, So here are a few process pics of a piece that I'm working on currently. Its built on a cross-stich or needle point, im not sure which, that I picked up at a junk store. After pouring a primary layer of epoxy and letting it cure, I start adding layers of paint and in this case product labels.

Subterranean Exposure (c), by Graham Honaker II on Mar 22, 2012 1:07:50 GMT 1, Yeah my buddy back in New Mexico was trying to get me to do some work for his LP cover, but it looks like I dont have to now. Think he's gonna use the photo of the meatball as the album cover. Its definatly a polorising piece of art., ppl love it or think its garbage
