Just emailed them also. No way I want this without the collage. It is very clear in the description that the collage is included and there is a picture of it with the book. Maybe it's being sent separately.

Thanks for your kind answer. Yes, I'm really really disappointed. I called them, and yes, they said that the collector with the original collage was sold in their shop in Berlin, not by internet, and the original collage is more expensive. They could not answer why it was in the description.  Marie, what are the 'original flipbooks' like? Just wondering if they are hand done, or printed.... |

Sorry guys for these bad news for those who don't already receive it! When I called them, it's clear, there won't have a second package as I thought. The lady didn't know what to say about the original collage and why it was in the description. I think I'll also write them. The box is printed and, indeed, it's really nice, a beautiful art object. The book looks really nice and the "flipbooks" are printed. Yes, I have the collector edition, the mine is the n°1/30 and it's signed (it's my only consolation  ). I'll let you know when I have more news. |

that's what they have to do, can't think of any reason why they would sell it only in their store.

Just received this evening, no sign of a " collage/print", cheap box with nice screen cover and a couple of offset flip books.. €240 more than the book !!! Just wrote them, pretty sure Vhils wouldn't be down with this. Will call em tomorrow and see if they plan to ship the print, if not then will open a paypal dispute and cross my fingers. If no joy then a Gestalten shoplifting spree. f**kers.

If this was the UK they would almost certainly have to send the collage as they would have entered into a contract with you when they agreed to take the order and ship the book.
However I am not sure how this works in the EU - any law students on the board?

Just had an email from Joern at Gestalten:- "Hi, yes the collage is included and the collage is sent in a tube in a parcel of two boxes. Apparently one buyer just received one box of two. We are currently try to find out what happenend and track the order." Looks like the collage is being sent separately after all  |

you didn't receive 2 boxes, one roll with the print shown on our website and one box including book and flip book? they have been sent as one shipment containing 2 boxes. We will investigate this and surely you should either have the collage or a refund.

Agree that its much better value with a print than without, still disappointing it wasn't an editioned collage, although i guess as it uses bleach etc each print will differ... IMO, alot of nicer Vhils images out there, i'd rather splunk a bit more cash and go for the one on studio cromie which is an edition of 30, but all have different backgrounds, on wood, and perspex.... and then just buy the book.... www.studiocromie.org/gallery.php?id_art=127&id=463 |

Plus as you say, for a bit more you can get a lot better. One thing ive learnt over the years is dont settle for second best by an artist just because its affordable... as within a month of owning it I always want to upgrade |
