Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by fielder on Dec 14, 2011 15:21:17 GMT 1, I actually really like this image. I think it has a touch of Bast about it. Very naughty that they've changed the description from a collage painting to a print. Also, all these missing tubes makes me wonder if they're doing a damage limitation exercise (ie sending them out today). Anyway, if I'm not happy I'm sending it back and they can pay for the postage because they changed the description.

Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by Brushstrokes 75 on Dec 14, 2011 22:22:41 GMT 1, Sounds like Gestalten is trying to cover it up.
My theory : Someone might have informed Vhils of this debacle and he made some prints available silkscreened after the image. So they are acting like it was all planned already. lol
I knew they might be tempted to change the description afterwards (cheating bastards) so I made a printscreen with time & date if anyone isn't happy in the end with what they received.

You're statement is flawed as yoou can see the print second from the left below the main image in your print screen.... I think you're getting all that's pictured but the description is wrong by suggesting it was going to be collaged.

Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by Brushstrokes 75 on Dec 15, 2011 1:10:56 GMT 1, You can make a screenprint if you still got the screen (and it won't be a collaged one).
There is definaterly a difference but you won't necessary see it from a picture.
For example :
Here is the backcover of Frank Stella Had Gadya book. It's lithograph/silkscreen/cut linocut collage & handcoloured (in some parts). If you just see a stock pic you can't really tell all these details.
waddington-galleries.co.uk/img/works/medium/T21406_m.jpg
Even from crappy pics you can't really tell (but there is a huge difference) :
I see what you mean. It's just the original answer conflicted with today's story about a print being sent separately when initially they said that it was all the box contained was in there already.
Anyhow, even if the description was wrong, some people might have bought the box because they tought they would be a collage print...... even it was just some kind of typo!

Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by Brushstrokes 75 on Dec 31, 2011 2:48:32 GMT 1, Here is the print - It's darker than in the photo (I had to used the flash so people can see the details). It does smell fresh paint & bleach though....

Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by thorkil on Jan 2, 2012 23:22:00 GMT 1, Got one for Xmas, I didn't origanly fancy the image of the print at first but I must say the quality of the print and the hand-finishing have won me over.
bs: Is your print numbered?

Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by thorkil on Jan 3, 2012 0:40:31 GMT 1, Same for mine, a bit of a shame although the tube was numbered. Seems the original description does not quite match the final product, however I think it is still a nice print.

Vhils: Limited Collector's Edition Book & Print., by mason on Feb 17, 2012 13:35:06 GMT 1, I got mine yesterday. Nr 26/30 it says, but i find it odd that some are numbered, some not. Is it really only 26 people since launch who bought this package? What i did NOT like about this purchase is that the tube it arrived in was so narrow, ie, the print was so hard rolled on thick paper that it will take days to flatten it. It is currently at the framer.

...and today the book arrived. Also handsigned behind the felt layer - also number 26 of 30. Much bigger than i expected. Beautiful, and i am very pleased although i was a bit worried when i read this thread. If i am one of 30 who got this for 300 Euro, i feel very happy with my purchase.
