flags, by Tyler Durden on Mar 14, 2007 19:56:11 GMT 1, I bought one off ebay for ยฃ450 cos I liked the image. It's dropped off a little since then, but you'd be looking at around ยฃ400. Who knows, the next POW Banksy to be released (if there is one) may be leftover Flags from the ghetto but I doubt it.

I love the image, though I'm not sure if I'm clear on the material/ink. Is it silver metallic ink and black screenprint on paper?

amen to that. I returned my first one, it had been rolled before it was dry and the paper had stuck to the black ink. Bit of a mess really. So I took it back to the Ghetto and they reluctantly unrolled it, claimed that it was due it being a hand pulled print (yeah right!) then thought it would be a good idea to attempt to rub the marks off using the cuff of their jumper. The gormless twonk scratched the shit out of the print. needless to say it was replaced shortly after with another, but only with the friendly remark 'you cant return this one'

forgive me as i'm not clued up technically, but it is a very silvery metallic ink, stunning, on cromalux paper which is shiny as anything, almost like photo paper. well not quite.
i got mine framed a few weeks back, as i'm sure you're all aware of, and i can see very slight ripples in it. i had it out the tube for a while before it was framed and it was happy to stay flat. so i don't know if the light just picks up every minor thing and makes it look worse. would any of you recommend me getting it mounted to a backboard in the coming years if it continues to bug me? it's not like i want to ever get rid so i'd happily glue the b*tch, i can be a bit OCD with things and i worry that the small marks will begin to eat away at me and i'll have to do something about it. any advice would be good.

Sounds just beautiful, but I understand a tad bit problematic for the perfectionist (I count myself in that category, too ). I'll be curious to see if there are additional posts describing the same problem/issue.

I don't quite agree with how Lesbianwednesdays describes it.
It's single colour, black, printed onto the chromalux paper, which is shiny metallic silver.

cheers for pointing that out CBL, you're technical info is always enlightening, there is much i'm now aware of, directly because of you. thanks.

Make sure you get anti reflctive glass though, I tried it with regular glass and it really didn't work at all, it ended up looking like a mirror

As for the ripples, I've had mine stored flat since the day after purchase, so now it's been flat for about three months that may help.
I have to disagree with Azlan about metal frames, smashedhats Flag & Pacific prints both look great, and I'm happy with a couple of mine too.
