Take comfort in that you're on the Gold Coast and not the Essex coast! (Where it's about 12 degrees and slashing down).

Hats off to Faile, if you want one, you'll get one, +1 faile. As for the new direction, I'll let it soak in for a while and check the show out.

Wish these didn't feel like ads, love the images though... Yeah they just look like posters for the show. Disappointing after seeing the beautiful paintings earlier.

Yeah, fair enough, currently 21.1C clear skies which are approaching sunrise soon. Still a bit early though for what I think is a rather unattractive print.
Essex is a great place...sister lived in Colchester.

random ramblings... having just looked at some picture.. other artists come to mind.. not FAILE. its a bit confusing really. I like a few of them .. they are wife / kid friendly.. its almost like they intentionally did some gallery / major auction friendly artwork. twenty years from now if FAILE is still a major brand it will be stuff like this at auction .. not bad seeds ..etc. but.. is that really the point of FAILE going forward. these are beautiful ..and confusing.. and maybe that is why they will last. i dont think FAILE would have become famous if they would ahve started with this style 10years ago.. but it is what it is now...

i dont really like the fragments of faile part two poster, but the book cover of the same image I do like. The other comments mentioning the fact it looks more like a promo poster may be the reason

Were the first ones from the Rathbone queue signed in the end?

Not liking this new direction at all. Reminds me of a bad copy of Miss Bugs

Not liking this new direction at all. Reminds me of a bad copy of Miss Bugs Gotta say I agree.. doesn't seem to make any conceptual sense at all. Lost a lot of its "art" for me. Painterly backdrops, cut out "pin ups" and fragments of faile.. can't make any sense of it. Might just be me of course.

Thought it was all pretty excellent! Smacks slightly if Eelus or Paul Insect, more than Miss Bugs I'd say... But with splashes of old Faile thrown in. Actually liked the blue print more than the White, by quite a way!

Yeah not overly keen myself atm, i keep thinking if it wasn't Faile, would i give it more than a quick glance.
Who knows, they might grow on me.
Fair play to them for trying something different though.

Got a signed one. Love the new artwork massively and the mosaics are the kind of thing to commit crimes to get. Overall my def favourite artists. Didn't get to meet them. Wanted a book cover but all sold out. Am going to save to get an original price next year. Well done faile!!!!

Congrats all who scored book covers, think they're lovely and a total steal, and most of the new canvases I really like although the ones with more obvious Faile fragments do it for me.
Much prefer the blue poster (sorry, print) - if it didn't have the date on it'd be a no brainer at £45, as it is there's plenty of time to think about it...
