Banksy describes in wall and piece that it happends (maybe more than once) that he got interrupted while spraying (nice anecdote if you have the book, one of the first stories in there). So the missing Y wont be a problem in that case..
where did you find the picture, or did you make it yourself? kind of curious.. as this would be still riding it would have been there for at least 10 years...

Found on Not Guilty blog. I take no credit.
Before he was Banksy he was Robin Banks. Hence 'Banks'.

i have an original canvas dated back to 2002 which is signed 'Banks' - I have seen it on a few occasions as well.
Nice find - a bit different which is nice.

if that is him then that's a shockingly poor handstyle (well, very little style at all).
I suspect there must be people somewhere writing 'banks'. I'm not saying it isn;t him, but I wouldn't immediately jump on a 'yes' bandwagon after seeing a pretty popular nickname around.
I know Bristol pretty well and I couldn;t say that this is def in Bristol. can anyone firmly identify it?

...that he got interrupted while spraying ...So the missing Y wont be a problem in that case.. Dont think so. First filling and than outlines. For a interruption you would see the complete filling and no outlines for then "y"!

"Tes" on the far left. Tes, Banksy and Kato/Nach were members of Bristol's Dry Breadz crew. Nice find

Found on Not Guilty blog. I take no credit. Before he was Banksy he was Robin Banks. Hence 'Banks'. I figured that's where it began. I have a friend, a blues singer in Montreal, Robin Banks. I need to introduce her to his art. Cool to know. Thanks!
