www.artnet.com/auctions/shepard-fairey-prints-sale-for-charity/This year, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation launches its ‘Artist as Activist’ print project, based on Bob’s history of creating artwork for issues which mattered to him. In carrying on that tradition, RRF has chosen Shepard Fairey to create the inaugural ‘Artist as Activist’ print. Proceeds will directly benefit the Coalition for the Homeless (http://www.coalitionforthehomeless.org). The Coalition for the Homeless provides housing, food, job training, crisis services, and children’s programs to thousands of New Yorkers each day. Since 1981, we’ve fought successfully for lasting solutions to homelessness through our renowned advocacy efforts. Seventy prints from the edition of 100 will be offered for sale exclusively through artnet Auctions. Prices for this signature work by Fairey will start at $1250.00 and escalate in price as the prints sell with the final 15 selling for $2500.00. Title: The Future is Unwritten Medium: Digital Print Size: height - 42 in, width - 30 in Markings: signed, and numbered, in margin. Edition: 100

I think you ALL missed the most important part about this release:
Proceeds will directly benefit the Coalition for the Homeless (http://www.coalitionforthehomeless.org).
There is PLENTY of Shep's work for way lower price, but this way you're getting your Shep, and the money goes to a good cause.. Simple as that!

Simple as that! probably would had made more money if he released a print that was more affordable and all money went to charity , not an extra mark-up that i assume allows him hes cut

Would make more sense to just make a lrg donation directly to the homeless organization so that you can write off the full amount on your taxes and also so that you're not stuck with some cack print you don't know what to do with.
