Hi Saint....me and fingerz had a chat and giggle about this on the Banksy new stuff thread yesterday lol. Karl's piece was put up a few months ago in Linthorpe Road Middlesbrough. Im sure Banksy is a massive inspiration to Karl as he is to a lot of emerging artsits IMO
Just noticed there's a few new on his site Mon, PPI was done a while back just off Stockton High Street near the Zanzibar....just noticed this new to Karl's site it says its Middlesbrough Empire..Stiff Little Fingers are at the Empire in a few weeks.!! Class
I really like this piece. Like the way the arc of the angels wings seem to match that of the church like pew. The Empire is a really famous local spot for music and that's probably the conection with the beat box. Liking a lot of his new stuff .
Think its fair to say the quality of this stencil work is very poor & basic. A local gallery is trying to flog some of his pieces that are touched up with B&Q paints.....the lollipop knight on prince regent street is particually badly done.
