Dropped in on Sat. Nice work and all, but I want to see artists pushing boundaries. All sold bar the huge piece on in front room though, so i guess Mic's doing something right...
Head studies, yep, some are truly lovely, wouldn't say no to one, but there's nothing new there. Colourful Japanese-influenced collages. Again, they're nice, but did we drop back 10 years? Cig-packets, okay, something new. But not to my taste.
Man's a seriously skilled painter, would be good to see those skills out on display.

i think he's growing very nicely - darker, deeper and creepier... no longer guns and grenade and wings and skull juxtapose with roses and angel wings... diamondss**tting, nymph abducting, bunny shagging a frogin' - all new and good.
the head portraits are evolving nicely too - from man face smudges to animal smudges to creepy sexual smudges...
i think he's very driven, and determined to be in for the long haul.
Steve Lazarides, the art dealer who put Banksy on the map, has had a sell-out show for the painter Antony Micallef. At the opening, all 34 works were sold at prices from £3,600 to £66,000, a 50 per cent increase since the artist’s last show in 2009. Micallef, whose work has been collected by Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Damien Hirst, used to be associated with the urban/graffiti art culture. “Not any more,” says Lazarides. “He’s a proper painter.” CG

willcleverly: Trying to work out what to do having paid a top 5 Bristol Urban Artist a commission in Feb 2019, which he is refusing to deliver or refund. Broken promises and basically theft. Never happened to me before when buying urban art direct from an artist.
