The thinking behind RE:DEFINE For RE:DEFINE all contributing artists were asked to consider ways to incorporate the concept either of defining or redefining in their work.
This could relate to themselves, to another individual/subject, or simply as an esoteric idea.
The thematic was developed as a conceptual extension of the amazing work done by the Staying Alive Foundation grantees, who are self-made enterprises making a real difference - both defining and redefining their own lives, their communities and the perceptions of the HIV/AIDS virus around the world. However, naturally we asked each artist to interpret this theme in their own way.
The charity 100% of funds raised through sales of the 30 pieces of work will be donated to the Staying Alive Foundation, a remarkable grassroots HIV and AIDS charity with young people at its heart.
