Got an e-mail from White Cube today saying mine should arrive tomorrow. I'm going for floated in a very simple white box frame.

Still bloody waiting on mine..... Hmmmmph. It'd be nice to see or hear what others are planning to do? I might just reply all to the ballsed email sent by Whitecub to get a feel for what the other buyers think? Many others still waiting? I am going to get my copy of The Kiss framed. Looking for ideas from members on how to frame it. I was thinking simple black frame that does not detract from the image itself but am not sure whether to get a mount or not as it is quite thin paper and it already has a surround around the print. Any views please? |

havent done mine yet - getting a bit of a backlog which will hopefully resolve in a job lot next time I am at the framers. Got a Emin 'for you' print last year in a similar style / ink. got it floated on a navy background and in a shallow box with some slightly distressed white wood - looks good. Will probably do the same when I get around to framing 'the kiss'. Not sure the black may be a bit harsh as its a fairly fragile image. Good luck and post some piccies when you decide what you do! That sounds lovely. Do you have a photo of it you could post so i can seewhat it looks like? |

Hopefully they'll arrive here this week however I do not have a date confirmed from the studio. I will be in touch as soon as I do.

But you know White Cube are good for it. A little delay heightens the excitment a little doesn't it?
I suspect WC are doing all they can - out of their hands etc...
Sounds like communications are pretty good too.

They sent me a copy of the UPS shipping receipt that states I should get it tomorrow - I will let you guys know if that turns out to be the case.

Mine arrived today, waiting for the Mrs come home before I unpack it. Looks to be well packed...
I knew white cube would be good for it, but I think an edition should be ready to go before it goes on sale to avoid disruption or printing problems.
Staff at WC apologised for not sending me updates which I assume other buyers received??

Received my KISS print in America today - it was packed great - I am not sure if it is going to make the wall - if anyone missed out on the original drop and want to make me a trade offer - let me know I may be open to possible trades.

Finally got the email telling me to come and collect.
Am impressed with the industrial wooden packaging but the four week wait has somewhat ruined it a bit for me. It will be making the wall as the mrs loves it.
Expensive next trip to the framers for me!

A friend is after one of these so said I would ask on here first before he goes to ebay as theres a couple on ebay at less than the new Emin International price above. Let me know by pm if anyone has one for sale at a price cheaper than the ebay ones?
