First look at one of the new gems from DABS MYLA to be featured in 'The Best Of Times' opening this August at Thinkspace

Recently made the trip out to Hollywood to visit the studio of Australia duo DABS MYLA as they begin work on 'The Best Of Times'. The team have been unstoppable as of late - everything from working on a video with Drew Barrymore to designing a new line of t-shirts to designing a new tour poster for Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder to killing it back in their homeland of Australia to becoming official members of the Seventh Letter crew. Whew! This globetrotting couple is turning heads and selling every piece they create as they continue to gain momentum and new fans in the process.

This will be the first studio visit I post as I plan to swing back a bit closer to the show and take some add'l pics. Hi-Fructose and Daily Dujour will also be doing studio visits in the month ahead, so be sure to keep an eye out for those. They are deep into the show at this point and I'm happy to share with you all a lil' sneak peek into the goodness factory that is their studio. BIG plans are in store for this August, for now, take a peek at the paintings coming to life. More details announced soon!

DABS MYLA 'The Best Of Times'

This show will be opening the same weekend as our 'Street Art Saved My Life: 39 New York Stories' exhibit that is taking place at C.A.V.E. in Venice in association with the great folks from the Brooklyn Street Art site. A great weekend to visit LA to say the very least!

Even the signatures on the new works for 'The Best Of Times' are awesome lil' mini paintings - too rad!

Day one of install is almost over and the duo are just on fire. All the works are back from the framers, we've polished up the preview and tomorrow they'll hit the ground running bright n' early. We aim to release the preview on Tuesday morning PST. We'll post here and on a couple other forums as well, so if you don't receive it for some reason, be sure to check here around 10AM PST this coming Tuesday.

The gallery is just a factory of creativity - they've almost got the main wall done, pulling 12 hour plus days. The Vimby feature so captures 'them' - they are two peas in a pod.

So excited to share this with you all. They have just gone above and beyond here. The preview below only features their paintings and drawings at this point. Come Saturday night we will open the sales on the numerous install elements that will be featured in their show. Any left over install works will be added to the online show catalog next week.

We've updated the digital preview and have had an awesome response thus far to the duo's new show. Just wait to you see the pics of everything all installed - this is going to be one of the hottest shows in LA this year.
