i think this is a farce
why would they turn it down when they would take an extra 10k; makes no sense
looked to me like they wished they took the offer but once they tried to get an extra 10 k the dealer was quick to pull out.
nonsense programme if you ask me

They can always hunt down that buyer that the dealer had ready and waiting, still make quids in.... I suspect that certain high end collectors/buyers/clients only buy things via preferred dealers. Hopefully they'll never track him/her down. |

They rejected at £240,000.00.Two dealers left. ok, here goes, how i would sell a banksy street piece for lots get to know a dealer chap who is on a tv show do a bit of role play Dealer-I have pre sold it and need to make a profit, I cant do that if I have to pay over ££££. Me- no thanks, i'd like more Dealer- shucks thats a shame, no profit for me i'll have to pass, bye bye. conclusion- piece hyped at >££££ happy days, await the phone calls, and if someone pays a little less because I might have to tax my car or something the buyer will think they got a steal All meet down the pub, congratulations all round Anyone got an angle grinder to trade? |

let me say again...the trailer on TV is an EDIT, designed to hook your interest. The producers would never ever give the corresponding item and value away on a trailer, ever. For a start the advertisers would go nuts (no one need to watch the episode if they give away the 'reveal'), and secondly...well let just say it wouldn't happen full stop. It is a splice of items / bids from across the whole series. The £240k item probably hasn't even been shown yet - that is how TV works! the only thing we know with confidence is that the banksy walls DOES NOT sell for £240k. not saying it isn't more, less or not at all. but not £240k! gm looks like someone made a cock up with the advert |
