I have to admit I was tempted to drive to Bristol to show my support for the protestors, but decided to send a donation instead. I hate Tesco's, and the effect their stores have on local business. In my road alone, 3 shops have closed as a result of Tesco opening an Express. Tesco's sweep into an area like axis forces swept into Europe at the start of WW2!! talk about Blitzkrieg!!!
I think the petrol bomb piece is very effective, and has raised £10,000 to help cover legal costs, which is great, nice one Banks!!
Having said that, I think that the poster sale could have been handled a lot better, and raised a great deal more cash. Here's how....
Judging by the quantity, and the prices the posters are selling for on ebay, I'm sure if POW listed the 2000 print run on ebay, each with a buy it now price of say £40 - £50, inc p&p they would have raised a great deal more cash.
I would have loved to have get my hands on a copy of the poster, but alas, bill's come first:)
It would be nice if the chaps making a mint re-selling the petrol bomb posters on ebay made an additional donation to the protestors......just a thought.
